(played on switch via 3d all stars). the first 3d mario platformer! and it was pretty fucking good. while maintaining a simple story, told time after time (peach taken by bowser) and really only taking place in one area (peach's castle), mario 64 has mario travelling to a lot of areas and discovering new things! marios movement is fun, and while the camera isnt very good all the time, the game is usually pretty open (unlike certain sunshine levels) making it mostly a nonissue. the game is fun, and for a game made almost 30 years ago now, it still holds up very very well.
