(played on switch via 3d all stars). this game is beautiful. not perfect... never perfect, a mario game, however, it is better than sunshine. and again, it just looks and sounds beautiful. especially conveyed by the popularity of the mysterious and immensely popular rosalina. lumas are cute too. this game was so good (and the wii sold so well) that they DID IT TWICE (although i have not played galaxy 2). this game, as discussed last time in sunshine, has a very fun and interesting theme and gameplay concept (galaxy and planet-hopping/gravity shit), and they do it better and more interestingly than with sunshine's vacation theme and fludd mechanic. the ending is also very sweet (and not horribly voice acted), a grand, sweeping view of the mushroom kingdom with some beautiful music and fun characters. bosses fun too, and levels not bad. some levels made me angry, but not as many as sunshine. and you can tell this game was wayyy more polished. the music is simply beautiful (likely due to its being an orchestra). all in all, amazing game.. and likely one of my favorite mario games.
