(Expert Mode Playthrough)
The inclusion of new boss phases and attacks is certainly enough to spice things up in the arena, and the new expert mode/master mode exclusive drops don’t go unappreciated, but the game still suffers from a few minor grievances that get amplified with the harder difficulty. Fighting the Celestial Pillars every two or three times you want to attempt the Moon Lord is aggravating, especially when your co-op partner really wants the Zenith and Moon Lord refuses to cooperate.
Some QoL mods would greatly enhance this experience, but the Labor of Love update should also bring about welcome changes. For the time being, I still enjoyed myself a lot, especially since grinding certain items was made easier by the increased drop rates. But I still prefer normal mode. Maybe once I git güd the benefits of Expert Mode will begin to outweigh the drawbacks and annoyances, but that remains to be seen.
