visually its very nice, and it was a decent way to revisit Part 1 since i havent experienced it in 6 years. i was very surprised to see that you even get to play as Straizo for a mission. the Dio's perspective mode is a cool bonus, and the 77 Rings mode is an even cooler bonus for people that read the manga. they even made up designs for the other 3 knights you never get to see be actual characters.

now unfortunately this game fucking sucks to play, so why would i bother with those once i trudged through the main story? it is one of many ps2 beat-em ups where 3 guys just beat you down and never let you get a hit in until you get lucky. Bruford's underwater fight might just be one of the worst boss fights i have ever played, you really have to just land every hit you can since there's barely enough time to defeat him, and if you're not angled right when blocking, his attack can just send you flying away, leaving you too far to do any damage in time before he starts his swimming loop again. if you miss him like 2 times then just start over. the Jack the Ripper fight is also extremely frustrating because of the infinitely spawning zombies chasing you while you chase Jack.

its a neat little thing that exist, but its probably best just watched than played. i really considered giving up during the Bruford fight but i kept going since it was already so close to being over.
