i think i'd say its better than the main game honestly. it basically fixes every issue i had with the base game, smaller dungeons are more fleshed out, the open world puts more emphasis on whats in the world rather than the size of the world itself, even more freedom is given to how you approach areas, actually good end-game balancing etc. i think the biggest hiccup would just be a few boss encounters are a little cheap or a tad mediocre, and no i'm not talking about radahn.
