King Arthur has lived rent free in my head for six years

This is my third time reading through this VN. I could talk about the level of care put into the plot and characterization, with threads of foreshadowing put into place right from the prologue, the incredible soundtrack, the fantastic work put in by the voice actors, but it all comes down to one thing, really.

Saber best girl.

Had fun playing through it to see where the franchise got it's roots, but it's incredibly unpolished in comparison to what comes after. Gameplay cycles through exploration puzzles and shooting, but each part is predictable, repetitive, or worst of all, unclear about what needs to be done to progress. The last part of the game introduces survival horror elements and I enjoyed the way it changed the monotony. Ultimately while I'm glad I played it I wouldn't pick it up again.
