Golf With Your Friends is just really good, silly fun. It had been on my Steam wishlist awhile, as I have too many party games to play already, but when it went on sale for $5 during the Steam Autumn Sale I picked it up.

And in <two weeks I've put nearly 20 hours into it. It's a fantastic multiplayer party game, requiring no skill other than clicking your mouse. Playable by everyone, loads fast, moves fast. You can seamlessly knockout 18 holes in 15 minutes and play course after course after course after course. The Steam Workshop is chock full of quality user creations that give you endless content. You could play a different high quality course every day for years. And they're all creative and zany with little wrinkles. Really well designed courses provide the players with multiple ways to play each hole, giving you nooks and crannies to use or giant hills and ramps to abuse that can shave tons of strokes of your scores.

It's a nearly perfect party game experience. Only downsides are that the limited graphic set means you see a lot of the same set pieces very repeatedly. Getting old quickly. And there are plenty of little glitches that can cause your ball to get stuck in map geography, even on default courses, or situations where it seems like the physics simply break. These would be more aggravating if the point of the game was to win. But clearly the point of the game is to have silly fun. I would highly recommend turning on friendly fire and turning on the 'R' for ball reset. To increase the chaos but also to allow you to bail out of glitches without needing to run the timer out.

A great game for even $10 and a no-brainer for $5.
