An incredibly fun game at its core that, at this point, has a fine number of features and options. But boy, does this game's menus make it difficult to find those options.

The main menu is bloated and confusing - Ring Shot has its own mode, but playing any of the other minigames requires hopping into Adventure mode and enduring a sluggish load time, or clicking into Co-op Challenge and selecting how many players before even knowing what game is currently on offer. Meanwhile, Swing Mode seems downright non-functional, despite other Switch games handling motion controls well.

Ultimately though, this is the best Mario Tennis has ever felt, close matches are exhilarating, and the online tournaments are still reasonably active.

Criminally underplayed. The way this integrated minigames into racing was so unique, and the racing felt excellent with motion controls.
