I'm over a decade late to this series and as a result I've read great things about it over the course of several years, needless to say that my expectations were very high. Fortunately tho all of those expectations were met, this sequel builds and expands on everything its predecessor does right. I played both games for the first time this week back to back after i grabbed the first one during a sale (partially because my friend had been asking me to play them so thanks Ren) and portal 2 managed to get a laugh out of me every time it subverted my expectations by toying with the knowledge i had built from the previous game which was still fresh in my mind. The graphics aged really well too, the improvements in art direction and environment really stand out when you go straight from portal to portal 2. The only downside here is that I'd say a chunk of the second act feels a bit like padding, its got some weird pacing but overall it doesn't take away from the great experience that this game offers from start to finish. I'm GLaD i finally got around to playing it
