breaking in my new pc by playing... this, i guess? 💀

my varying shades of distaste and general struggles with this game have been well documented by now so i'm not going to pop off about it fully again. i will share a Grand discovery i made barely 5 minutes into this run instead.

so RE0 has no shortage of rancid design decisions across the whole game but what i came across might take the cake. so not only do you take damage immediately upon being grabbed before a bite but even if you cut the grab off before your character can even react or otherwise be stopped sometimes it will damage you anyways? when i was playing as Billy i killed a zombie that was lunging at Rebecca (she didn't even stop running past it) and when i went into my inventory she was in yellow caution? it couldn't have been anything else because i was barely into the game and hadn't had the chance to take damage.

this game is trash. 😭
