Oh, Lord of the Miracle...
This game is a masterpiece of such magnitude that it could become a religious institution. The game uses the same Spanish-based western-catholic mythos that we are used to from the first game, but now the Miracle is not happy, making people suffer in the most grotesque and horrendous ways, all displayed in STELAR pixel art. I mean, these guys raised the bar so high, that it is reaching the heavens (bad pun intended).
The music has a very Phrygian-like, flamenco base to it, always giving a lovely tone to the gloomy atmosphere that we find throughout Cvstodia. Level-design, game mechanics (with more emphasis on platforming and puzzles), such as combat, are also second to none when it comes to the genre.
I thought it would be hard to top the first game, which is one of my favorite games of all time, but they did it.
And that, my friends, can only be the work of the Miracle.
