DOTA 2 has faltered. Design decisions in the past few years have been baffling. Matchmaking is inconsistent. Heroes are now able to do anything and everything they want to making them less unique. Objectives are also everywhere, which is rather exhausting in my experience.

While still enjoyable from time to time, the game is seemingly confused on its own identity. Does the game want to be accessible, or does it want to entertain the hardcore crowd?
