people like to sneer at League and feel smug and smart, but it is a good game. The community is toxic, sure, and I prefer DotA for a lot of reasons, but it is a well-made game with some good characterization.

My biggest issue is actually its business model, which single-handedly pushed me away from the game for nearly a decade. I hate the F2P model it has, and it won't even let me change my username without coughing up cash or playing for a stunning amount of time.

if you think the pricing model on whatever server you’re on just come over to our SEA servers on Garena, no one gets punished except for afks, you can be running it down while saying every slur you could imagine and even if 9 people reported you nothing’s going to happen and I’m not even exaggerating, garena doesn’t have the starter champs you unlock and BE is scarce here, these servers have gacha event after gacha event, servers are segregated too leading to queue times being excrutiatingly long on certain servers where League isn’t really a thing. And that’s not even mentioning the lack of a draft normal mode leading to low quality ranked games. Not even mentioning resetting password doesn’t exist here, which lead me to quit playing, I forgot my password and I can’t reset to keep all my progress. Riot is fucking losing to a mobile knockoff of it here (mobile legends) because they’re leaving us to rot with Garena
