(Reviewing solely for the Campaign)

I'd say Star Wars BF II is quite average, obviously more attention was placed on the Multiplayer aspect of this game so I'll cut EA some slack about the singleplayer campaign. Overall though it is decent I guess, the story works and even though it is rather short, there were still aspects of it which can be appreciated such as world design and dialogues.

A few problems I had however were the combats and the missions in general. Even though the main combat itself is satisfying and varied, the AI is can be absolute dogshit at times especially when taking cover. Worse part is when fighting other AIs/your ally, both of them will just stand still shooting each other with no other thought in the galaxy, it's ridiculous to come across. Definitely the worst part of this game by far.

Bugs can be frequently encountered especially with objective markings and some wrong dialogue sequencing which I experienced during the first visit in Vardos.

Regarding the missions, I wish they were a bit more varied. Sure we had the missions with Luke & Kylo Ren as snippets but on the general level of it, most missions felt the same, going from one point to another, shooting Stormtroopers, collecting intel/sabotaging/finding someone. I wish there were something more from the actual missions itself.

Also the ending of the campaign was extremely abrupt. Sure, after the events of the final sequence, it was somewhat a appropriate way to end but idk, for me it just felt way too abrupt, no end credits or anything.

The dialogues were fun at least, I enjoyed Shriv and Lando's VA the most maybe because those 2 had the best chemistry with each other in game and I particularly enjoyed the missions in Sullust a lot solely because of them. Other MCs like Iden and Del had decent VAs as well so in the very least cutscenes felt somewhat immersive.

Overall, this game has a decent singleplayer campaign albeit it wasn't as iconic as the original Star Wars BF II (2005) version, this one has a certain charm about it, despite all its bugginess.
