As a Metroid virgin, feels like a Metroid for Metroid virgins. Smooth and well-guided. Occasionally you get lost, stumble, don't know what to do. But it always picks you up. Very controlled, only really FEELS dangerous at times but you'll always feel safe in assured hands.

I liked it more when I was playing it than I do now a few after finishing it as it starts to evaporate in my memory.

Also reminds me why I don't really play metroidvanias too often because they give me nothing to ruminate on. Maybe this means more to Metroid fans, or people who love discussing game systems. I loved the art and design but those kind of speak for themselves while you play it, nothing about it really sparked. May as well have been another Ori game.
