Half-Life 1 pioneered all the stuff people think Half-Life 2 pioneered, and even then I think other games were also doing the walk-n-talk style of exposition during gameplay. Half-Life 2 just wastes more of your time with it on top of having two god awful vehicle sections.

Ravenholm was cool though.
