Wonderful language puzzle game. The feeling of grasping parts of a language's construction absolutely tickled my brain, along with the gorgeous art direction. For me, the game falls short of a 5 star review due to two factors: The inclusion of stealth segments and the conclusion. The stealth segments feel included for fear that the core puzzles can't hold their own. Spoiler for the ending: The idea of a progenitor race creating the languages, retreating to escapism, and spawning the protagonist as a kind of prophet/problem solver fell really flat for me.

Goofy and sincere, surreal and grounded, nostalgic and melancholy. A wake for childhood as a game, celebrating the experience while grieving its loss. Recognizing that coming into your identity is a hard and confusing process, and celebrates that doing so gives you the ability to be okay with your losses and live your life knowing the good times you've had.

Post-modern deck building roguelike with incredible atmosphere and an intriguing narrative, spans aesthetic genres while constantly slowly evolving the underlying card games mechanics. Goodbye. Good game...

Sweet and funny, full of sincerity and humanity in a way that is rare. Some fights are long without offering actual difficulty.
