The second installment of the Super Butoden series focuses on the battles during (and shortly after) the "Cell Saga" arc of the Dragon Ball series. It is one of the few games in the series to focus on stories from the series's animated films. Although having a French release, the first time the game was released in North America was when it was distributed as a bonus digital copy for the consumers who pre-ordered Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butouden. This version was untranslated from Japanese and still with the Japanese title.

I always thought this game was a bit overrated, I played it after SEGA's Buyuu Retsuden and it seemed like a step backwards. A bit silly of me because the gameplay is considerably better, but the roster and the barely inspired soundtrack put me off. Very subjective I guess.

Surprising to see stuff like Bojack and Broly. Beside that it's as good as the most average tie-in anime fighting game: not really.

A fantastic improvement over Super Butoden 1 with a better use of speed and special moves. The story mode is second to none, making the most of Dragon Ball's sometimes ridiculous plot and weaving in plenty of fighting action so each character gets their moment in the sun.

Somehow a pizza place near me had a machine of this?
Anyway the game's cute but definitely stiff, more of a curiosity in this day and age than something to really sink your teeth into.
