Meet a naive young monkey-tailed boy named Goku, whose quiet life changes when he meets Bulma, a girl who is on a quest to collect seven "Dragon Balls." If she gathers them all, an incredibly powerful dragon will appear and grant her one wish. But the precious orbs are scattered all over the world, and Bulma needs Goku's help (and his super-strength)! With a magic staff for a weapon and a flying cloud for a ride, Goku sets out on the adventure of a lifetime...

Dunno why they named this DBZ since it's literally the whole og DB (until the defeat of Piccolo Daimaou. Next game starts as the actual og DB final arc lmao).

The presentation looks nice and promising since it really does include ALL the main moments of the original bangers that were Goku's early adventures.
But my god if that gameplay was really harsh and garbage to get into, both the battle system and the exploration. Good luck doing the Kame sennin (Turtle Hermit) rock searching part.

The game is actually DBZ: Totsugeki Hen, but GoodSNES lists it as Kakusei Hen. Thanks again, Cowering.

Anyways, this is basically the story behind the Dragon Ball saga. Actually, it's the complete DB saga except for the last part, which is covered in the next Gokuden game (which also covers the DBZ saga). It just tells a story, so it's pretty linear, and it's got a lot of text, and it's actually, you know, kinda fun. Since stuff actually happens in this game, and not just guys circling each other and going UWAAAAAAAAAA the whole time. Okay, so it's pretty obvious I didn't play it very far, but it was enjoyable nonetheless, goddammit.
