I came across this and liked the art style, and thought it might be fun to pop into a modern 3-hour retro styled Zelda game that evokes the gameplay of Link's Awakening or Oracle of Seasons. On the one hand this game succeeds tremendously in being an imitation, but it's about as flavorful and substantial as a water cracker.

There's not much here to speak of, no story to sink your teeth into, dungeons and puzzles are very straightforward and lack much of a challenge, and while the gameplay is as smooth gameplay as would expect from something like this, it feels like a carbon copy of any other game in the genre. Overall the world layout is well designed (aside from one spot where I got stuck and had to restart the game). It's just very unambitious, and I think that's a bigger sin then if the game didn't play as smoothly. The high point of this game is the spritework and atmosphere, at times it hints at having a personality, but ultimately this game does nothing to distinguish itself. I'm sure it is a satisfactory miniature Zeldalike experience for many people but I hope the developers challenge themselves to do something more with their next game.

This is a very, very straight homage to Gameboy-era Zelda. If that's what you're looking for it absolutely is that. But it just didn't give me anything that felt like it would hold my attention. Abandoned at the first boss I thought had an overtuned health bar.

A história é bastante simples. Neste jogo, o príncipe é sequestrado, e cabe à nossa heroína salvá-lo e restaurar a paz do reino.

A pixel art é maravilhosa.

This game does an okay job of scratching that 2D Zelda itch, however it doesn’t measure up to even the weakest Zelda. It’s incredibly short, only taking a couple of hours and even then it could have been shorter if just the gameplay wasn’t so slow. Nothing about this game really stood out to me as unique, in fact there were quite a few instances where I thought “Oh this was just ripped straight out of the Oracle games.” It also wasn’t particularly challenging, combat wise or even puzzle wise, not requiring much thinking. That said, it was good enough for a quick little $5 game that was programmed by one person who seems to be a fan of Zelda.

P.S. It’s also a little buggy including where I had a few instances of having to reset the game and losing some progress because I got stuck in a block or something.

…also the ability to skip the entire first phase of the final boss just by opening the menu. Lol
