Sonic Robo Blast is an early Sonic fan game from 1998, created by Sonikku, real name Johnny Wallbank, of Sonic Team Junior. It is one of the earliest Sonic fangames to exist and led to the founding of Sonic Team Junior as well as the eventual creation of it's sequel, Sonic Robo Blast 2.

This is easily one of the most important fangames ever made, being one of the First sonic fangames created and one of the best from its era, and of course... it lead to the creation of Sonic Robo Blast 2, one of my favourite games of all time!

Going back to it is definitely rough and, I'd recommend most people experience it through "SRB2 the past" instead since it includes it as a level pack.

s-tier kusoge
literally everything you could want from a bad game. goofy art and music, terrible controls, weird cutscenes where sonic says "robuttnik", glitches, broken level design, dreadful difficulty, and near the end of the game there's a shmup section with a midi version of the final countdown. a legendary moment in gaming history.
