The King of Fighters 2000 features an improved Striker call system with the Active Striker System, which allows the player to call his Striker character in any situation, whether he is attacking or being attacked by the opponent, allowing him to use their strikers in combos. Moreover, in addition to the numerous nostalgic SNK characters returning as Another and Maniac Strikers, KOF 2000 welcomes newcomers such as Ramon, Vanessa, Seth, Lin, Hinako Shijo, and Kula Diamond.

HEAVILY UNDERRATED. The boss in this game didnt deserve to be put in some canon limbo by the devs simply for his "design". The plot in this one is like the Nests saga's own 97. Please give it a try if your into KOF and want to try the older titles.

Great pickup and play I keep coming back 2. I suck at videogames, so YAY FOR OPTIMISATION! If you wanna, you can play on harder difficulties with the whole team mode aspect. I prefer the solo one on one fights with assists. The point is, I enjoy the fact that they're are options. The story mode makes zero sense and I have no idea what the King of Fighter's even means. What I do know is that the cast is awesome, the fighting mechanics is mad tight, and overall this game always puts a smile on my face when I play.

I decided to give '00 another chance. I like it. I'm getting used to the assist mechanic, and I'm now realizing that maybe they should've kept it in other releases, as a separate thing, and not just in general. I hope to learn more about the game soon.

My opinion on this one is the same as KOF '99. Except this one is slightly more tolerable. (Still not a fan of the Striker System)

This game is so fun, is the peak in terms of gameplay, story and music of the nest saga.
