An expansion for The Sims

The Sims: Vacation, known as The Sims: On Holiday in the Republic of Ireland, the UK, China and Scandinavia, is the fourth expansion pack for The Sims. Vacation introduces new items, characters, and features, as well as a new destination called Vacation Island where Sims can take vacations with family members or with other Sims. This marks the first time Sims can stay on lots away from home, meaning the game can be saved while a Sim is on Vacation Island. Vacation Island is split into three distinct environments: beach, forest, and snow-capped mountain. Sims can purchase or find souvenirs and either stay at a hotel or rent a tent/igloo.

[incoherent yodelling]

While house party acted as someone what of a break from the normal life of your sims, The Sims: Vacation is where it really works. Letting you and a group travel to a few destination inspired by different travel ideals. A tropical beach, a winter lodge, and a basic forest. Each offering, while sometimes lackluster, there own unique activity's to engage in. Overall while I liked the idea of letting my sims take a break from constant work, the areas offered here only act as very quick distractions. With each not really having enough things to do for a long enough time to feel grand.

i used to have my sims pretty much live on vacation when i was a kid. i just wanted to collect all the souvenirs through the carnival games.

upon revisiting as an adult i realise there's actually not that much to do, especially in the forest area (which i rarely even visited as a kid). i'll still give it four stars though, for the childhood mmrs, and the hot tub you could "play" in which absolutely kept me FED as a pre-teen.

Added some fun stuff, but nothing too exciting.
