An expansion for The Sims
The Sims: House Party is the second expansion pack for The Sims and is all about, well, parties. Everything in it is designed to make parties more fun for both you and your Sims. There are over 100 new objects and characters; 5 new music styles; 5 new dance styles to match the new music; and three new themes - Cowboy, Luau, and Rave.

Another pretty great expansion pack. I had forgotten how riské the hired dancers were.
The Sims: House Party was yet again another great expansion. Adding mechanics, and items that truly expanded upon the social aspects of the game. While being maybe not as full as the first expansion, it is undeniable how many funky items and NPCs this added to the series. Rounding out The Sims "cast" by allowing you an easier method of meeting them, and being a fun break from the normal life of your sims.

It is one of the add-ons that you probably should have, if you intend to play Sims 1 as having the ability to throw a party to invite random townies to you, will help you build up friendships. Something that is way too hard in that game anyway. Did you btw. know that prior to this add-on there were no townies yet? Something that became a stable thing in the series, even though they were a lot simpler here than in later installments, with just having a randomized first name, but all being named "townie" with surname.

the items in this pack were elite! so many iconic buy mode objects. i wanted those inflatable chairs, the tiki stuff, the slot machine, the buffet tables and the turkey dinners, and the STRIPPER CAKE!!! and these are just the ones i remember. i know there were soooo many more.
as i am thinking about this pack i feel wistful about how the sims was originally an adult game. the teen rating on sims 4 is part of the reason it's gone downhill imo. the original sims game and its expansions WENT THERE
