This is the first of the "Portable" series of games that konami made for the PSP, which basically take a whole series of shmups and compiles em into one big title. This game includes most of the Twinbee shoot-em-ups, with stinger and twinbee 3 being the only exclusions. This game has the original arcade game, detana twinbee, pop'n twinbee, twinbee yahho, and an exclusive remake of twinbee da that modernizes the whole experience and makes it play more like the later arcade titles. All of the games run arcade perfect so this is probably the best way to get into the series. The remake of twinbee da was done by M2 and feels good to play, though there is a bit of a huge difficulty spike right at the end with the last 2 bosses so watch out for that. Twinbee da originally was a bit of an easy time so I don't really blame them for trying to make it a bit harder, but perhaps just dumping all the difficulty at the end wasn't the wisest design choice. I also wish they made end-of-level screens like detana, yahho, and pop'n have. Personally I think twinbee 3 would have been a cooler game to remake over da but they did a good job either way. There also isn't any cool bonus materials outside of a music player for the game soundtracks, it would have been cool to see an art gallery. Regardless, being able to play detana and yahho on the go alone make this worth it.

I could care less about the first Twinbee game but the rest of this collection goes hard. TwinBee Yahho! specifically is my favorite because of the amazing music, cute little cut scenes and full voice acting with anime characters talking to you during gameplay. Another cool thing about this collection is the full modernized remake of one of the gameboy games.

A great collection of the mainline Twinbee titles, the only reason to play it these days is for the included remake of Twinbee Da!! for the Game Boy. The new version basically alleviates every issue I had with that release making this the definitive way to play that title.
