Quite different from other Lego games in terms of structure. The basic gameplay is still there, but you learn spells/abilities and have lots of small levels as opposed to 10-15 big ones. A nice change of pace if you're playing a lot of these.

So i recently platinumed this game on PS4 (Years 1-4 so far) Which are also the movies i'm mostly familiar with and quite enjoyed a first playthough and this is the first lego game i've actually gotten into
Grinding to find the rest of the gold blocks and other collectables after the game was over was a bit of a time sink and some of them were annoying to find but it's an easy platinum if you've got the patience.

Graphically it's okay, it's a lego game so there's no much to really say but it didn't look bad, some parts in cutscenes looked quite nice

Combat (what there is) is fine, easy to use mosty it's just shoot your magic wand (Get your mind out of the gutter) or throwing something at an enemy to defeat them

Soundtracks okay, it's mostly just the same as the movies and sometimes you might find your humming along to the tunes as you're getting lost around Hogwarts like i did.

I do wish this had a map for sure!
Definitely worth a play if you like lego games.

literally my favorite game of all time for no reason other than autism

Gave it an extra 1/2 star for the big head spell

I will finish this with Simon some day

This would have had 5 stars if it had fixed most of the bugs from their seperate entries alas they didn't or atleast didn't do most of them, still playing this on PS4 was an absolute delight and to be able to play it on current gen platforms just makes it even better.

I really hope they'll do this for Lego Indiana Jones sooner rather than later too!

Awesome collection of two very nostalgic games. The graphics and loading are honestly kinda incredible for the Switch, and very much improved over the original versions. Having these two wonderful games in a single packages is just awesome, although I wish some of the glitches had been ironed out.

Average of both games.
Years 1-4: 2/10
Years 5-7: 5/10
Technically the score would be 3.5/10 but math says I need to round up. So I'll be generous and give it a 4/10 rather than a 3/10.

It's cute and all but god it's a lot

Quite boring game, got it to play with my daughter but eventually we have given up. Might be playable if you're willing to solve the puzzles or play with a walkthrough, but I didn't had the patience for that.

it's not good, my sister and i just play this to shoot the shit

Bought to play with the wife who is a big Harry Potter fan. It's a fine game as far as Lego games go.

This could quite possibly be the definitive LEGO game collection, alongside the Marvel one and possibly the Skywalker Saga when it releases. The games look great and are already amazing.

u get to play as harry potter

This is a genuinely cute way to reexperience the story of Harry Potter if that's something you're interested in. If you've played a lego game you already know the gist, but for anyone unfamiliar, they're basically really fleshed out collect-o-thons that have a ton of replay value and you unlock different characters to play as over the course of the story. This one works a bit differently because instead of unlocking the characters you play as in the story, you open them up in the shop, so unlocking characters takes a bit more effort. The huge cast of characters is kind of nice, but that also means there's a lot people like Michael Corner and Bob Jones the Hufflepuff and stuff like that, but all the most iconic faces are still here so that's good. Hogwarts was kind of a pain to navigate, which you're going to need to do a lot if you want 100%. Other than that they're both pretty good. It's a very good value, particularly on sale, since you're basically getting 2 games for the price of one. If you like lego games and have even a passing interest in Harry Potter, it's definitely worth checking out.

Although i enjoyed it, it got a bit tedious by the end of the first game. Never played the second i think

First time playing a LEGO game and now I might be hooked...

I will say, the content certainly helped. HUGE Harry Potter fan and this filled the void while I'm waiting for Hogwarts. Sooooo good!

I do wish they had voices instead of just grunting, but hey if that's my only complaint that's not bad at all!

Which LEGO game do you all recommend I jump into next? Although I feel this will be a hard one to top...

Tied with TCS and PotC as one of the best Lego games.

I think the only Lego games I’ve replayed beside the Star Wars series! Had a lot of fun with them!

Played this with my 5 year old daughter, she loved both games. She has never seen the films and I haven't watched them in many years so trying to explain to her what was happening in a game with no dialogue was quite difficult. In fact, I think I understand the story even less now for having played the games but it was still a fun time and a pretty good remaster.

I love Harry Potter. I love Lego. I love video games. Harry Potter + Lego + video game = amazing.

Fine, I guess?

I played it with my kids, which was nice.

Not only the best Harry Potter game ever made, but one of the best LEGO titles too. The exploration of Hogwarts is endlessly fun and rewarding but it's the fun and addictive gameplay that sets these games apart from anything else. Plus it's great hearing the original score as you run about turning students into ducks.

Played these two games with my wife in January (Years 1-4) and April (years 5-7) and enjoyed it as expected. TT Games and Lego have put out such great adventure games with lots of collectables, puzzles, story adaptations, and humor.

While not as funny as Star Wars, I think I liked this more than the Marvel Lego titles.

years 1-4 were great. 5 was boring, so didnt finish

Blow Everything up in Harry Potter

Played the first one, but got bored of the second one
