Maplestory is one of those games I can keep going back to even if I haven't played for a year or two. The story itself is charming and memorable, and I have many fond memories of it from my high school-college years. I've been able to experience many different eras of the game via private servers and the official servers. It's a fun way to just kill time fighting hordes of monsters in a beautiful pixel-art world.

Still actively playing one of my favorite games since entering adulthood. If you don't like grinding 💯 , tough love for you. Priotize your time in-game that's what I do, because it gets boring quick.

Other than the annoying grinding quests (AKA kill 200 bicycle monsters), the soundtrack and childhood memories are strong with this game.

This game was good back in the day, and the soundtrack is wonderful. But it's lost the magic that made it special.

Wizet era was the absolute best and it's unfortunate what Nexon NA did when they finally got a hold of it after they considered it a failure. One of the biggest cases of P2W to ever happen for quite some time and it's not even fun anymore playing through new classes that come out.

I tear up every time I think about this game. The memories I have with this game are something I will cherish for the rest of my life. I feel so lucky to have grown up with this game and the soundtrack is genuinely beautiful but it has just been outclassed by plenty of other MMO's throughout the years. Still a phenomenal game, but a game better left in my memory.

maplestory is a massive inspiration to me but unfortunately it has been left in kmmo hell. endless events, gacha, and desperate attempts to keep the remaining playerbase enfranchised.

I love this game. I would never recommend it to anyone. I've spent thousands of hours on it since 2008. It's so fun. It's the most frustrating game you'll ever play. Every time I've quit I've come back. It sucks.
