Capcom, don't bother doing MvC4 unless Disney is willing to play ball.

They screwed up a good game hard

Best things I can say that 2/30 characters are kino (X and Jedah) and the gameplay is excellent but everything else...........(proceeds to cry)

i am so biased bro this game makes me sad

Gameplay imo is actually solid, but it's unfortunate that it's obvious that it's had to cut some corners in other aspects, especially its graphics. Everything outside its gameplay is lacking which is unfortunate because you could tell that a lot of their ideas did have potential.

god awful graphics, god awful roster, but god damn the game just plays so well, it's so much fun. There was so much potential here. Imagine if they game this game a budget

I'm sure that Capcom thought that they were on to something with this one. Too busy smoking on that UMvC3 pack to care about this one apparently - generally, it played okay, but when you're previous title destroys it in every single way, it's hard to push past just how bad this entry is.

the quantumania of fighting games

It's a very solid game, with some of the most fun gameplay in the series. The story mode is also a lot of fun, though feels like it had some missed opportunities.

The biggest issues are the character models themselves are often pretty wonky, the fact that all the "comic book-ness" in 3 and prior games is hardly present in favor of trying to capitalize on the MCU, which just leaves the presentation falling a bit flat. A lot of the new roster picks are great, especially on the Capcom side, but a lot of the issues with its creative decisions can be chalked up to the Disneyfication of Marvel as a brand and it shows. Most of the roster being reused straight from MvC3 is also kind of a drag, and the lack of X-Men or Fantastic Four-related characters definitely feels off. The Marvel character themes are also all really boring and "MCU-ified" compared to Hideyuki Fukasawa's amazing soundtrack from 3.

Overall, it's a fun game, but definitely doesn't quite hit the same heights as UMvC3, with most of that being chalked up to how the Marvel brand has been handled since like 2012 or so, which is a shame.

Fun game post release (I have an insane Monster Hunter)

It's not that bad at all, i don't mind the 2 vs 2 since i actually really like MvC1 and the stones are kinda cool.

I may or may not be biased because of the Nemesis buffs + Sigma

The story mode is terrible and kinda boring, streamed it for some friends expecting to laugh at it but it was just meh.

Alot of characters but half of them arent special and the other half i dont even know. Poor stage variety and all of them arent interesting or recognizeable or iconic. Story mode is generic. Not much else to it. Just boring, no reason to play it over any other fighting game.

Quite enjoyed this game back in 2017, was a nasty megaman/dormammu main

Achei bem ok. Mas me diverti demais jogando. Os personagens são muito fodas.

Thanos doing a hadouken is more memorable than most stuff going on in the mortal kombat stories.

Story mode was pretty much like any MCU movie so basically mediocre lol. But the game is actually fun to play and watch. I preferred the mechanics to MvC2 and 3. Shame about the graphics though. Mega Man (X) actually being playable again was very nice.

Jedah is the only fuckin reason i go back to this game

ainda bem que eu nao comprei isso!

Fun fighter but has so many issues with story, and combat.

Decent game mechanically, bogged down mainly by a questionable roster. For example, WHY IS THERE ONE MORE MARVEL CHARACTER THAN CAPCOM CHARACTERS??? BUCKY JUST SITS THERE ON THE CAPCOM SIDE, STANDING OUT LIKE EXCEPT NO MERCY ON EVO MAINSTAGE!!! but I do like the style and the story's alright... that roster just sucks enough to drag this to a 2.5.

I can understand why people dislike this game, mostly for its lazy graphics and the Marvel cast being relegated to MCU characters (likely due to Disney Marvel enforcing this + Xmen rights at the time).

However, as someone who was never a big Marvel fan and great graphics not being a requirement to play a game (though they certainly help) I thought Marvel vs Capcom Infinte is actually the most fun gameplay wise of the MvC series.

I like the Infinity Stone system, the ability to switch characters mid-combo/mixup for some true shenanigans, and I think the Capcom side of the roster is just fine (was super happy Mega Man X was finally playable).

The story mode is cheesy af but I honestly kinda liked it. Just a lotta goofy dialogue and silly reasons for the Marvel and Capcom characters to interact. Will take it over the lack of actual story mode in previous MvC games.

However... why are the base DLC character prices so expensive???? I blame Disney Marvel.
