when the gods of olympus are racist, misogynistic and homophobic they are praised and worshipped

but when i do it.....

Out of all the League of Legends clones, SMITE has been one of the only ones to actually do anything approaching well. Part of that is down to having some more unique and active battle mechanics and modes. Part of this is down to actually having a proper option to actually get all of the gods available for a reasonable pricepoint. Its pretty fun.

Though its F2P nature does poke through too much at times. The sheer amount of expensive outfits, passes and special events that exist solely to make you spend stupid amounts of money on gems. It feels almost insulting at times.

the people who play this game are so brain dead retarded you would think they let their dog take control of the computer they're so fucking trash no matter what you do don't play this game with randoms. The graphics are shit and dated, the gameplay is awful and needs a rework. The old character models are disgustingly ugly and the announcers are extremely annoying. The only reason I could see people enjoying this game is if they suck at league/dota and they like mythology

My experience with Smite in 2014 was very very short and it's mostly me just picking Ra because he's like every single gay archetype combined and also a bird which is always dope.

This was my MOBA of choice for the longest time. I've always enjoyed mythology, so getting to play as some of the most well-known figures in historic folklore drew me in! As with any online multiplayer game, the experience can be mixed. You can have great games one day with solid teammates, and then a bunch of horrible games with people who want to troll or throw because something didn't go their way.

Smite offers a few different options depending on how sweaty you want to get: Arena is good for beginners and allows you to get familiar with characters' abilities without too much strategy, Joust is a step up that includes one lane and a small jungle to get you comfortable with the typical MOBA experience, and then there's Conquest, the full on, 5v5 mode with three lanes, a massive jungle, and the big push towards the opposing base.

Perhaps the major thing that sets this apart from other games in the genre is that you directly control and aim with your character in 3rd-person view, as opposed to the usual isometric perspective in games like Defense of the Ancients or League of Legends.

I haven't played this in years now, so the meta has most certainly passed me by at this point, but it's a fun game with a lot of unique characters and abilities. But, you may want to wait for the release of Smite 2 to try it out, which is just around the corner!

They made league of legends but worse, which should be impossible because league is actually harmful to humanity

This game can be EXTREMELY fun or EXTREMELY unfair depending on your team, but this is common in mobas in general.

The best roster of characters in any mobas imo, the design team is just the goat, and dont even get me started with the crossovers, which are mostly fine, but you have some gems like the new runescape.

My REAL problem with this game is that the coding in this is one of the worst i've ever seen in my entire life, ITS SO BAD. Its really obvious after even the first game that this game is SO outdated is funny, they really need to step-up in their game or this game will keep living in a tube like the last 3 years or so.

Now what REALLY makes me angry with this shitty game is the deserter system. If you quit during a game you get a deserter status which makes you unable to play during a growing period of time (30 min - 2 hours - 5 hours - 12 hours - 24 hours - 5 days), that i mean, its kinda a lot but if you quit willingly during a game you kinda saw it coming. BUT, if you crash or quit during god selection or dont accept a game THIS RULE STILL APLLIES, and THIS IS INSANE. Being unable to play this shitty game for 12 hours because you didnt get to pick a god you wanted or the game crashed (it happens a shit ton of times) is nuts and they really need to do better, this is so fucking bad, so so so so so sosoososososososo fucking bad its insane im going crazy LET ME PLAY THIS SHIT

it's not like league of legends it's not like league of legends it's not like league of legends

I used to play Smite religiously, starting at the beginning of season 3 and stopping 4ish years later. So how do I even put into words my feelings about Smite?

It was such a huge part of my life for years. I met new friends, I bonded with people, I laughed, and I cried playing this game. So why did I stop playing? Because I was miserable. It's a free game and I understand that cosmetics will be a part of just about ANY game nowadays and they have to make money somehow. But there was a pretty obvious shift that happened where the entirety of the games direction was based around getting people to buy skins. Gods that players were shouting were OP were getting tons of new skins, and any time you saw a buff due to "underperformance according to our metrics" in the latest patch notes, you knew who the next batch of new skins was going to include. Hirez balanced (or rather they unbalanced) the game based off of who they were trying to sell to you. After all, why would you nerf a character who's making money? It sounds silly to say it was actually mildly heartbreaking to see a game I spent so much time playing turn into something that I couldn't stand to boot up anymore.

I've been told that in the years since i've stopped playing that the game has gotten a lot more playable. And like, I believe you? I do? But am I going to play it again? I want to? But will I? Probably not.

So, how do I feel about Smite?

I fucking hate this game. There are few games in existence that I can say I dislike more than Smite. But deep in my heart, in my SOUL, I love this game. And I will continue to love it as long as it's not installed on any of my systems.

Smite en 2027: hemos metido la skin oficial de conguitos para Maria Magdalena

Characters are cool, but i'm sure I pissed off a lot of people by being awful at this game oops

Played this game since the early beta, and clocked in about 2000 hours of playtime afterwards.
I discovered that MOBAs aren't good for you. When you lose, you feel miserable, but when you win, you don't even feel happy. It's a constant loop of being flamed by teammates, fighting unfun characters feeling hopeless when your team is losing but you are doing fine.
Despite this, I did have a fun time early on. Played it a ton with friends and this game does have fun characters to play. Smite feels very satisfying to play, and I'd be interested in seeing this game's engine and mechanics applied to something else, like a MMO.

The developers of this game suck. Characters in this game are gods from mytholgy, like Zeus, Thor, Ares, Loki, Anubis, etc. Yet they take creative liberty to alter their lore to fit the Smite theme, which has led them to receive negative feedback.
Same goes for skins: some of the gods are depicted like whores, because that makes players actually buy the game, while the god has nothing to do with being about sex at all.
They're also very quick to hop on trends. Hearthstone got popular? Make a smite-themed hearthstone clone. Overwatch got popular? Make Paladins and pretend it was in development for years (it wasn't.).
The devs feel very scummy.

la mejor composicion de dioses? Beckenbauer en top, Xavi en la jungla, Messi en mid, el bicho de adc y Busquets de support.

It's not League of Legends, therefore it is good.

Deity MOBA. At first, I didn't like it when I played it on Switch. But now when I tried it again on PC, I can say that I'm hooked!

Really fun moba to start with or even just play in general, has characters based off of gods and crossovers changing the skins to beloved characters. Overall really great game and highly recommended.

E pensar que na época eu já cheguei a gastar dinheiro nesse jogo, mas enfim ele é divertidinho mas é muito paia, atualmente não acho que vale mais a pena jogar

It is not bad game but lol is more fun

Very fun casual moba! I get that 3D mobas aren't as strategical as 2D isometrical ones, but i guess it's pretty fun and having gods as characters is very cool!

I used to play it with some of my friends during covid and it was enjoyable!

it was peak at a time but now with more context its just worse league

I like smite, but it burns out pretty quickly

The uniqueness of each character is what kept me coming back. Can you kill people with the god of wine in other games? Didn't think so.

tw// racism/sexual assualt

met my former girlfriend on here (back when i was cis)
finally build up the courage after 2 and a half years to come out to her about who i really am (while playing hades my ablt fav). long story short she broke up with me while calling me slurs and leaked our esex convo (im the bottom) to the whole lobby.

needless to say i wont be playing this one anytime soon.

Boy I'm sure glad no one can see how many hours I've poured into this game. SMITE is my favorite radioactive toxic wasteland full of nice and awarding players! I, unfortunately, spent money on this game that I regret and cannot go back to unless someone really wants to play with me.

Surprisingly fun action based alternative MOBA to League.

I feel like I may potentially like it more once I understand the intricacies of the gods. Definitely the second most fun Ive had playing a MOBA.

Sadly I don't like it enough to play with it without friends.

Kind of fun but most enjoyable when playing with friends
