Juegazo, sin mucho más que decir. Un clon de los souls que brilla por luz propia gracias a alguna de las mecánicas de su cosecha que le hacen más interesante y a ser sensacional a nivel de historia, de arte, de atmósfera y (un pelín menos) de gameplay. A destacar las peleas contra los bosses, aspecto en el que le enseña muchas lecciones a la propia From Software , y la forma en la que está implementado el parry que si bien se siente un poco ortopédica a veces, acaba por ser de lo más divertido si la masterizas.

De sobresaliente, siendo justo. Y con una música que me vuelve loco, en especial el tema del hub que es mágico, desde el primer momento en el que lo oí sabía que esto era cosa seria.

Actually unbelievably good. Probably the biggest surprise of my life.

I can’t tell if i just really want a bloodborne PC release or if this game is actually good but oh my god inject it straight into my veins daddy

Too difficult. The game is good, gameplay is fun, but its not my type of game. I don’t like games that become stressful because of the difficulty. If you like souls-like games, you’ll love this. But I don’t like games that stress me out in the way this game does.

If you told me Fromsofe made this I would belive you. I beat it four times in a row. Can't wait for the DLC and hope for another game from this studio

an absolute great gem that manages to shine on its own. the pinocchio aspect of the game, which is probably the most bizarre aspect about it, is genuinely well done and interesting. theres a great part where they cite asimov's laws of robotics and turn it on its head by reversing the importance of the first two laws (the first being that a robot cannot harm a human and the second being that a robot must obey its master), which you can see in the streets because there are puppet policement and soldiers (the plot twist regarding this i personally did not really like to be honest). my favorite line in the whole game is when someone (i dont remember who or what exactly they said) said something to the effect of "lying makes you human".
the exploration feels somewhat shallow. which is fine. they wanted to make a linear game and they did. the problem is that by doing that you feel like you're just walking through a corridor the whole game. so in effect the very well constructed and detailed world they built doesnt really feel like one. which is kind of unfortunate tho i dont know how you would remedy that.

The game is at its best during boss fight. combat encounters outside of it are fine, even good, you can feel that the mechanics were built around boss fights with how beautifully it all works. the parry system, like most well executed parry systems in games, feels like absolute crack. the only gripe i have with it is that the sound it makes isnt that much different from when you normally block something. this is despite having the thing flashing red when you do parry, which i am not looking at because im fighting a boss. with the parry system, and because the stagger you cause is also inflicted by attacking, so you have to keep being aggressive. Romeo and laxasia were stand outs for me personally because they utilised those mechanics the most.

what i think the most about this game, besides the whole pinocchio thing, is that there are some genuinely psychotic choices in this however. the first is gemini which ruins a lot of moments by himself. the game tries to do environmental story telling but because of what feels like lack of confidence coming from the devs he comes in and start narrating about what is happening. in itself its fine but the main thing is is that he sounds so out of place. By that i mean that no one in the game sounds remotely like him when he talks, he sounds like hes coming from a marvel movie but without saying any of the jokes (dont know if that comparaison is appropriate). the only other character who sounds weird is venigni but with him its more like a joke because unlike anyone in the game he sounds so violently italian.
the most insane part was towards the end, right after fighting laxasia. After the fight, you enter a building, and see sophia totally messed, dying, asking you to kill her. and that emotional moment gets totally ruined, ravaged, by gemini simply opening his mouth and commenting that it really is a terrible choice to make. the worst part somehow comes after where, 15 secounds after the end of that encounter (yes i timed it), you run up the stairs, as you're still thinking about and without any separation you get jumped by three enemies attacking you and it creates such a bizarre, brutal whiplash.

Despite that its still a great game and good jumping point to whatever that studio is planning to do.

can’t believe I also kinda got into the lore, it was actually pretty interesting (and I have never found it interesting in others soulsy stuff)

Lies of Mid.

Il gioco è sviluppato competentemente e si nota, però manca di qualsivoglia anima e originalità. Sembra un accozzaglia di idee da spuntare dalla lista chiamata "come creare un clone dei giochi from". Abbiamo le meccaniche basilari dei soul, un'estetica vicino a bloodborne e il suo famoso rally system, le weapon art di elden ring, il braccio prostetico di sekiro e la rottura della postura con i parry. Però nessuna di queste meccaniche esprime nulla o si integra bene con le altre.

Il level design pure è servibile, ma sembra mancare troppo spesso il punto. OGNI drop ha un nemico pronto ad attaccare alle spalle perché lo fanno i souls, ci sono infinite scorciatoie da sbloccare come nei souls (le quali sono quasi inutili visto che la mappa è quasi sempre un corridoio, con alcune mirabili eccezioni). Manca il senso di esplorazione, manca un piazzamento dei nemici interessante (qui va dal noioso al frustrante senza vie di mezzo).

La trama è la yassificazione di Pinocchio. Pessimo. Inoltre non sanno minimamente gestire i momenti clou né il pathos derivato da certi momenti con i personaggi principali.
Verso il finale il giocatore dovrà prendere una scelta difficile riguardante uno dei personaggi secondari del gioco e bon, finisce lì e subito dopo anziché dare al giocatore un po' di respiro per riflettere su ciò che ha fatto ecco un sacco di mob inutili che servono solo a rallentarlo fino al prossimo "falò". Perché?

Il gioco, in definitiva, è un buon soulslike. Uno dei migliori forse da un punto puramente tecnico. Ma dall'altro non ha un minimo di spirito, originalità e inventiva e dura sicuramente troppo.

Lies of P foi uma grande surpresa desse ano, para mim o melhor soulslike que não foi feito pela Fromsoftware. Tem uma lore muito interessante, e a forma que usam a fábula do Pinoquio é sensacional. A gameplay no início é meio truncada e bem punitiva, te obrigando a sempre usar o parry, pelo fato de que os iframes da esquiva no começo são horríveis, mas quando você avança e vai descobrindo as habilidades é possível melhorar sua esquiva e até mesmo sua defesa. Achei as armas muito bonitas e o fato de poder montá-las é muito interessante e deixa o jogo mais divertido e diverso. Um jogo horrível e que nem deveria ter lançado, fiasco total. (Suas molas estão reagindo)

Considerando minha experiencia passada com outros soulslike que não são da FS, eu não esperava muito desse jogo, mas fui muito surpreendido positivamente, á historia do jogo até que têm uma premissa bem única que é muito bem usada na decorrer do game
Pro desenrolar da historia, á ambientação e g´raficos num geral são quase sempre uma parada muito linda que mantém uma atmosfera sombria e imersiva consistente, ás são quase do mesmo nivel que bloodborne de criatividade e á dificuldade do jogo é muito boa e justa apesar de tudo
Os inimigos e chefes são bem gostosos de enfrentar e quando você derrota eles sente uma satisfação imensa, o level design do jogo têm o defeito de ser extremamente linear, mas sempre oferece perigo e desafio ao jogador e é bem único e criativo
Os maiores defeitos desse jogo pra mim além de á linearidade imensa é á quantidade de inimigos que abusam de ataques com delay oque torna um pouco massante enfrentar algums e á escrita de algums personagens é bem mediana, previsivel e cafona, mas o é excelente dms, acima da média

Enjoyed it more than bloodborne. The bosses had good combat/great level design like dark souls 3. The cutscenes were well animated. Made each boss feel like a spectacle.

Their use of the parry mechanic/stagger system was a nice mix of bloodborne/sekiro. Really enjoyed the game.

Lies of Alec (This hasn't changed after beating the game)

On a real note though I want whatever the devs were smoking when they made some decisions about the development of this game.

O sistema de combate e a temática do jogo são seu maior triunfo, porém Lies of P peca na formaçãos dos seus chefes, além do seu mapa sem graça. Não achei o jogo ruim, mas esperava mais.

Ainda posso voltar para zerar algum dia.

Really great time. Enjoyed it very much. Might be my favorite soulslike I've played so far. Very much reminds me of DS1, which I like a lot. Curious to see what they do next with this.

Absolute perfect game for me. I cannot wait for a sequel. I've nothing clever to say other than play it, it's on gamepass
