Miitopia is easily the most fun I've had binging a game over a long trip up at a family member's house. The gameplay is simple, yet fun, and the sound design--I cannot praise the sound design enough! Literally all of the tracks here are a pleasure to listen to, whether it be town music, character music, or whatever else the game throws at you, and it only gets better the longer you go on. The story is basic but wonderfully fun, and it keeps you going all the way to the very end and keeps you guessing!

However, that's where my praise for the game ends. Which is rather substantial, don't get me wrong! But wow, this game has a LOT of flaws under the surface. For starters, the only character you can play is yourself; everyone else is controlled by the AI, and the AI in this game is...somewhat intelligent, but also prone to doing very stupid things, and all of this could've been solved easily by making everyone controllable. Where it gets to the point of intolerability in particular is when characters can start to get sick later on in the game, and your main Mii is ALSO in the pool of characters who can get sick. Essentially, at that point, the only thing you can do is watch the game play itself, and that's what inevitably made me not complete this game.

It's still a good, fun game overall, but my suggestion? Stop after you beat the final boss. It'll save you a LOT of headache.

I am chef. ALSO WHY IS THE SOUNDTRACK SO GOOD LIKE HAVE YOU LISTENED TO WORLD 1 BATTLE THEME

This game is actually so fucking good LMAO.

So happy this game raised in popularity after the Switch remake! I love it a lot. As any Mii game would be, it's really silly and just a really fun past-timer or stress-reliever. Giving my Miis their own personality and seeing their relationships grow in a fun, RPG pointless adventure is really something I'd never expect to enjoy so much. I like the evolution of graphics from Tomodachi Life, though that keeps being my all-time favorite! So happy for the Switch port.

Your enjoyment really comes with how creative you are with your Miis.

i wish this stupid nintendo game about miis had a thicker plot -- loneotaku 2021

Very fun and goofy, really wish Nintendo would do more silly Mii games like this

not worth the full price tag but i did get to see dr eggman steal obama’s face so it was entertaining

silly little guys get up to mischief (adventures)

I absolutely loved this game, but I hate RPGs.. I was more so in it for the fun life-sim features this game had, bringing my little guys over from Tomodachi Life to play this, was so so so fun.

The popular faces tab was always filled with memes and it was so so funny

i get brainrot over this game all over again at least once a year please help me

A decent game. It's pretty fun throughout and I like its humor. When it gets more difficult, it can be fun to mess with the combat options. The game's arguably main draw, as was Tomodachi Life's, is choosing your own cast of Miis, and I definitely got some laughs out of that.
I find myself wishing, in spite of my expectations, that they had a more interesting story and more developed gameplay. The relationships between the Miis are a great feature which I would like to see expanded. Combat could definitely be refined, because you don't even really control 75% of what's done in battles.

Enjoyed my time, but a little rough to recommend for 40 dollars.

better than expected but not a spectacular game, definitely way longer than it should be. it's a lot of fun, but i think it'd be best if we got a new tomodachi game with a miitopia sequel set in it as a whole other gamemode. this isn't really enough to be worth $40 and something like tomodachi collection/life is not either, so a marriage between the two would be awesome

LITERALLY one of the best but most slept on titles on the 3ds it is so silly and so much fun and the soundtrack is great and the battles are great and the miis are great and the bosses are great ITS JUST GREAT

The story was incredibly bland and the game was miserable to have to play through.

What looks like a cheap joke game contains an actually quirky and inventive RPG, with banging music and a Persona 3-like combat system where you don't control your party.

With Chihiro the Cleric, Henry the Mage, Metaton the Pop Star, Osaka the Cat, Kawasaki the Chef, Satan the Imp, Snake the Flower, Bane the Tank, Waluigi the Thief, and Me the Warrior/Scientist/Princess, we set off on our journey to stop Dark Lord Tanaka with the assistance of Great Mage Sonia, Three Fairies Mami Nano and Cirno, and many more! The Miis make the experience

Really enjoyed the first iteration of the game and makes me want to purchase the new version on Switch for the enhanced customizability!

repetitive but extremely charming

it's perfectly fine but hella repetitive and bloated

No me lo esperaba tan divertido y muy adictivo, pero a la larga si se te puede hacer pesado el solo poder controlar a 1 de los 4. Y la estructura de la historia es muy repetitiva, aun así muy recomendable para hecharte unas risas casual

the comedy of Tomodachi Life, coupled with a quirky hands off rpg.

suffers from getting too samey after a while.

i adored this game then i lost my switch and all of my save files so i lost every single miis i got online without being able to replay the game because it just doesn't hit the same restarting from scratch, but i hold it dearly

Very stupid game but that is what makes it fun. Very quirky.

Pretty fun, but not really $40 fun.

The game has such a strong premise, madlibs the video game. Other than that premise and the hilarity it insues, there isn't anything else that motivates you to continue playing it.
