Went back and revisited this one on my third console over 16 years (first GameCube, then briefly on Wii, now Xbox One). I was surprised at how the back half of the game I had largely forgotten, even though I thought I had played through this one more than once. Things managed to spook me more than I gave it credit for, too, both as a result of my forgetting a lot of it and also it just being scarier than I remembered.
This game still rocks. The presentation on Xbox One is pretty nice considering it began life as a GameCube title. Good story, fun combat, memorable boss fights, great atmosphere, nifty gun upgrades, and so much more. One of the best packages in gaming. The characters and writing are a little north of cheesy, but in a good way instead of a bad way. Very glad I paid this one another visit.

Além disso, o jogo faz um excelente trabalho ao criar uma atmosfera de suspense que irá acompanhar os jogadores por grande parte da campanha. A trilha sonora também impressiona, ao potencializar ainda mais a atmosfera criada.

Haven't done Separate Ways or Mission Ada yet, but this is such a fantastic game. Loved everything about it.

(Joguei com o mod HD que fez o que o jogo base não fez, Um HD decente) O jogo não foi tão afetado pelo tempo para mim, a campanha foi ótima de se jogar e é um jogo bem divertido e relaxante.

Great third person shooter with some very minor survival horror elements. The escort AI never gets annoying and the game continually ramps up enemy encounters throughout. Quick Time Events are way too hard at 60fps, and it controls like crap on mouse and keyboard. Deserves its legacy.

The core game is still a classic, just pure unsentimental fun the entire way through, but I wanted to add that I used the RE4HD mod and it was transformative, it looks how you remember it looking in your head.
Aged like wine, the gameplay and shooting are still satisfying not to mention the upgrade system and overall presentation.
There are some issues related to the gameplay like moving Leon can be a bit clumbersome, looking out for Ashley and not being able to move while aiming or reload at free will.
The narrative and characters stand out a lot in part thanks to the voice acting.
The PC port in the other hand is abysmal, frame-rate issues, lame textures and missing effects from the original version. Thankfully the fan-remaster called HD Project is a masterpiece and completely does justice to the game, RE4 Tweaks is also a must if you want to restore some features to the game and increase the Camera FOV.

Steam version has support for the REAL remaster: ‘RE4 HD Project’ which could be the best carefully made remaster ever.
Played with the HD Texture mod and gyro aim. RE4 always is and always will be a banger video game.

Uma das melhores experiências, além de ser um dos poucos jogos onde a cinematografia entra nos vídeos games na era do ps2 e gamecube. Querendo ou não, ele é muito revolucionário para sua época, precursor dos jogos que veríamos mais para frente (como The Last Of Us). Sem contar o fato de ter disparado (em minha opinião) o melhor fator replay da Capcom até hoje, mesmo com seus defeitos. Infelizmente, para quem não é de longa data, sua gameplay pode afastar diversos jogadores novos, no entanto, com o remake entre nós (que até agora honra e supera o original em vários aspectos) as pessoas podem apreciar essa obra de arte.

nenhuma experiencia é individual. as vezes voce pensa que algo que acontece para todos talvez nao se aplique a voce. voce é tao especial. aí o algo acontece; um dia voce vai criar um laço emocional com resident evil 4, voce nao tem como controlar isso. talvez isso seja uma metafora para o amor !
A fantastic game with excellent story, ambience and gameplay. Managing the inventory and being resourceful was different but fun.
I did prefer the wii version as the controls felt more natural, and i did my first playthough on there. But this is still a good port nonetheless :D
