Played at the Double Tap arcade in Cedar Falls, Iowa. What can I say, it's an older arcade release of Tetris; I tried it out of curiosity, and will not be returning to this game.

I really like Tetris and the 1988 arcade version is no exception. I love going to my local retro arcade and playing a game or two on an original arcade cabinet just to pass the time

Strongly dislike the lack of a clockwise rotation button. Slightly dislike the feel of a 4-way joystick for precise taps. Still interesting nonetheless to see where Tetris was before the release of the iconic gameboy version.

skill issue

Another competent conversion of Alexey Pajitnov's masterpiece. I don't like the tetromino design in this one as much as Sega's arcade version of the same year, but otherwise everything here is well done.

I was adamant to find and backlog the 1988 North American arcade release of Tetris by Atari because that’s the version I grew up with and continue to think about when I think of Tetris, and I think I finally found it so now I can properly make out (with tongue) with this game. Minus a star because the game is best played portably rather than standing, and the Japanese Sega release came out first but looked better graphically than the North American Atari one.
