Definitely not a bad game, but could have been so much more. For me a game of high highs and low lows. Female character development suffers so much because they all must be available for Rean and all their bonding events have to do with this. Its ridiculous how much better the male character bonding events are in this game. Getting to reunite with all the previous protagonists is a treat.

The conclusion of the Cold Steel series, it's a satisfying one for sure. It probably gets a bit too big and ambitious for its own good as a game, but it delivers a lot of great moments overall.

I really liked it. Definitely has its issues like the curse being kinda dumb most of the time and the many fake-out deaths (though that one doesn't bother me too much cause its mostly characters I like coming back), but apart from that, very enjoyable experience, and a good finale to this arc and the series so far
Dissapointing story, Fun game
this game gets so much wrong, it infuriates me. BUT, it also gets so much right, which sucks too in its own way. gameplay is a slight, but noticeable improvement over CS3. i think the writing took a pretty major hit here, particulary the character interactions. the size of this game is inescapable, in good and bad ways. this is peak, AND rock bottom for this series at the same time.

It's not a perfect game by any means, there's definitely parts of it that are overkill in terms of trying to resolve everything, but god the highs are so good and I was very satisfied by how it all ended.
Good gameplay, awful story, awful finale

No es quizas el final de la saga que queria, pero si el que esperaba. Como jprg es maravilloso, la historia y pjs como siempre es sublime, momentos epicos por doquier con algunos finales de chapters magnificos, ost over the top (based jdk), PERO y este es un gran pero, el como han ido paulatinamente convirtiendo el juego en un harem de Rean acaba resultando cansino, y eso en un juego tan largo, no es nada positivo. Con ganas de abandonar ya Erebonia, que aunque quede Hajimari es con otros protagonistas :sana~1:, y con un hype brutal por Kuro. Gracias falcom por esta saga, me alegro muchisimo de haberla conocido hace casi 3 años, 9 maravillosos juegos de momento, y los que quedan.

it's 50% a perfect conclusion for the cold steel saga and 50% a really, really underwhelming one. but it's still trails so i still love the game dearly, fuck it.

The trails really were in cold steel
Not really a bad game, but as the conclusion to the Erebonia arc and the first half of Trails as a whole, it's kinda disappointing.
It's the big pay off game. It's fun and there's some good twists, but I still wanted more from the series.
Far too much padding in these games but this is the worst its ever been. This is especially true for a game about a great war & in the supposed end of the world...

when i finished this game initially i didn't really know what to think and was mostly leaning towards being positive on it. whenever it focuses on the romance aspect of rean and most of the female characters it's a headache, but whenever the big story moments hit and you get the characters in more casual situations that do not include romance OHHHH does this game peak a lot. overall, i think this game is awesome and i'm a big fan for what it tries to do and achieves.
