Great if viewed as a tech demo, some of the best graphics Ive seen and great gun/swordplay, far too short for the price even when discounted would love to see this fully realized in the future
Story is complete nonsense and barely functions in moving the player along from set piece to set piece
Stealth sections really kills the flow on replays as well, worst part of the game bar none, and a striking lack of content, would love if this game had a horde mode to dive more into the fun combat, strong case for a FPS Devil May Cry style game
6/10

I'm torn on this one. Because while it's undeniably impressive, a phenomenonal accomplishment coming from a one-man studio, it's almost disappointing in just how well it emulates AAA shooters. It's a great game, it plays brilliantly and is evidently beautiful to look at, but if you like this kind of first-person shooter... it's a niche being catered to. Bright Memory stands (mostly) toe-to-toe with the likes of Shadow Warrior 3 and Doom Eternal, but it obviously can't hope to surpass them - and, being honest, there's very little in the game that gives it an identity all its own, so faithfully does it follow in its peers' footsteps.
I value the authorial voice in indie projects, and while Bright Memory handily delivers on action spectacle, it doesn't aspire to much else. Which is completely fine! And it's absolutely amazing - a positive sign of things to come - that it all comes from one guy, an engine, and an asset store. Truly, it represents an exciting, inspirational moment in games development that this exists, and is handily on par with titles that cost hundreds of millions of dollars to make. It just leaves me wishing for something more fresh and unexpected! It's a stellar achievement, and I wish FYQD every success - but knowing, now, that bedroom programmers have these tools, I anticipate more than just a solid replication of what AAA studios already provide.

Bright Memory Infinite is an extremely enjoyable FPS campaign. The gameplay is extremely solid and fun with lots of combat options and solid movement throughout. There are a couple of sections that deviate from the core gameplay which is disappointing considering that this is such a short campaign.
That said, what is on offer here is very fun and I have now played through it three times and earned all of the achievements. I would definitely recommend this game considering its low price and high replay value.

I don't think I've ever played a game that was as soulless as this. The game looks cool and plays alright, but there is no reason for anything to happen in the game, the characters are extremely bland, nothing in this game is explained, the main villain i think only appears for 5 minutes...truly a disaster. If you wanted a great fps just play titanfall 2, if you wanted another one play trepang2, if you played the first 2 then replay them. This game just feels like a demo of a demo, and not even a good demo
It's a really fun game, the gameplay Is very fun it reminded me of Titanfall 2, the boss fights were fun, it has English, Chinese, japanese voice acting, I prefer the japanese voice acting, the graphics was amazing for an indie game, I liked the art style, but it was very short, I would like to see it get a full game with a full story
7.5/10
Edit: the lip sync has a problem and the facial expressions feel a little bit off

The fact that it was made by a single person makes it even more impressive. Although it's very short, it got a bit boring at the end and I hope the characters will be as good as the graphics quality in the next games. Still, it has a ridiculous beauty.

Hey unpopular opinion here , but the length of this game actually suits it !
Yes yes its shorter than a frickin tech demo, has a fair bit of janky control at times, but if you ignore the length and the rare jank and just enjoy the fast paced fun ride , this is actually pretty cool.
Also it has to be said its a very very gorgeous game crafted carefully by ONE developer!
I dont care about the intentional s*xual skins section as the gameplay does not reference it and is just a very fast paced fun FPS that you can finish off in 2 hours. The game also is surprisingly challenging and engaging , and the gunplay itself is jank free and crisp.
Ofcourse there is no worthwhile story to speak off but the mechanics and beauty carry this short and sweet game that would have worn out its welcome if it was any longer.
I think its worth trying in its current state as a shut your mind and have fun for 2 hours option
