Jogo muito chad. Uma pena que o multiplayer não é lá grandes coisas.

A fun arcade game that plays well on the old 2600. So much better with a trackball though, definitely worth investing in.

I did not have much fun while playing this game. It was pretty difficult and hard to tell what was happening.

Love this one over the Arcade version since it's more fun and faster paced but also fair in terms of the gameplay. Reason Im tending to choose the 2600s versions is because they were built so you could constantly play them in a long string and it feels fail. The arcade versions were made to be funny but also to take your quarters/money so they purposefully screwed you over sometimes, making it impossible to play. Original centipede Arcade is still really fun and has a beautiful style. 2600 version loses a bit of the style due to limitations but still retains the fun and excitement of the original while allowing for a more fun long experience with it. I personally prefer this one over the original, but both are really good.

Played as part of Atari 50.

Ironically probably better than the arcade original despite lacking trackball controls. To compensate for the lack of precision the board is decluttered a lot and snap reactions to things like the spiders are slowed down a ton, which is actually probably better for the game than how it was before. Still not, like, very much to write home about, and it tires quickly, but it's perfectly fine for a couple minutes.

Playing Through My Evercade Collection Part 1: Atari Vol 1

Honestly Centipede is fine, not amazing, just fine. Truth be told, when this appears in any given collection, I usually gravitate towards Millipede instead thanks to that having a few more interesting things going on. That said, this is a pretty solid conversion of the arcade game given the limitations of the actual system.

The limitations sort of help as well as there isn't quite as much cheap nonsense to kill you off so the game overall feels a little fairer when it comes to actual progression.

So yeah. Its a fun little shooter but one that still feels like it needs a little something extra.

Definitely superior to the original version, in my mind. Loses a bit of the charm of its inventive visuals (which, to be fair, was one of the big selling points of the arcade game), but offers a more focused and tightened gameplay experience in its place. With apologies to Dona Bailey, I would rather play this one, for sure.
