The final battle of the second dlc is demancially awesome.

O jogo tem o melhor combate da trilogia, mas é meio maçante sinceramente, ótima trilha sonora também.

Meu Dark Souls favorito, as lutas são tão épicas.

I replayed this game after a couple years and even after playing Dark Souls 1, I still say that this is my favorite of the Souls series, this is the first Souls game I ever completed and I love it to death.
And in my opinion, it has the best overall boss design of the entire Souls series, I love every single boss in this game, my most favorite used to be the Abyss Watchers, but upon replay, it has to be Slave Knight Gael, the arena, the music, and the fight itself is so fun and challenging.
There was a time where I kinda didn't like the DLCs because it was so unfamiliar to me at the time, but now, I love them to death, especially their bosses, aside from Halflight, who's just kinda meh in comparison to the others.
And this time around, I felt that the End of Fire ending was very appropriate, since the First Flame is slowly dying and you can see this in the Link the Fire ending with how small the flame has become over time, plus it feels like the proper way for the story to end, in my opinion.

I hated this game so hard at the start, the levels were beyond horrendous, there was too much DS1 fanservice, too many unpredictable oneshots and the combat felt really spam focus sometimes.

I dont know why i put that in past tense they still are true fire the level design team for the love of god.

But the bosses... the bosses, threre´s no words for it.
The theming, the lore, the soundtrack, the actual gameplay, THE FEELING of these bosses is unmatched, and they keep getting better and better. I can feel my asscheeks crumble with how epic every fight feels, you really feel like you fucked up beyond repair and you are gonna get torn apart into a pixelated pile of flesh. A duel between a old god and the little Scrimbo Blimbo with a tiny lance, the bosses are so good is almost unbeliveable how they cooked so hard.

Hard to admit with how much i sharted this game in the beggining (really really hate the level design and unpredictable oneshots), but it gets really really better in the second half and now I honestly kinda love it, my character The Pope Quandale Dingle XVIII had a ton of fun purging every living thing in line of sight with no reason whatsoever.

Now that i have fully completed all the souls games, there´s a huge void in my chest, man, these games are truly truly something else, wish i could go back to play them again, but just revisiting the memories I have of the good and bullshit moments, honestly, is good enough, what a nice journey.

Jogo maravilhoso simplesmente 72 horas nessa maravilha e ainda busco ter mais

I bought this complete version of dark souls 3 in december of last year and i beat it 1 week ago and in my opinion dark souls 3 isn't the best or the worst game in the franchise but it's a game that fails to innovate, introduce new concepts and tries way too hard to please the fans of dark souls 1(the best One imo).
Dark souls 3 graphics, art style and performance are very good, during my 25 hours the FPS almost never dropped and if it did it went back to normal so fast that i didn't notice.
Dark souls 3 combat is good but bad at the same time, shields are now useless even the greatshields won't be able to protect you from all types of attacks at least not without you taking damage.
You if you liked to Stay behind a shield and tank bosses powerful moves like in dark souls 1 and 2 i am sad to say this but this isn't possible.
This leads US to the lack of Gameplay options and diversity that this game has, dark souls 3 basically tried to be bloodborne(a Faster and more agressive game) thus ruining the slow and methodical way of playing dark souls due to it's many traps and tricky enemies positioning.
You Will constantly have to roll to get immunity from the bosses attacks in every single fight and this gets boring with time.
Dark souls 3 is Also a short and Linear game thus going against the nature of the 2 first games in the franchise.
Remember dark souls 1?you had options, you could choose in what order you wanted to tackle the game, which boss you wanted to defeat or Skip and that area to explore or ignore.
This isn't present anymore, instead the game rarely offers you 2 or 3 options so there is ONLY One route for you to take most of the time.areas are bigger but have too much wasted space where there is nothing there, this added with Faster Pace of the game decrease it's lenght considerably(you can beat this game in 20 hours or less and this sucks).
Now let's talk about the bosses, dark souls 3 has some of the best bosses in the franchise like Dragon Slayer amor, twin princes,Aldrich , crystal Sage and the dancer.
It's Impossible for you to play dark souls 3 without having a top 5 or something, however many bosses have 2 or 3 phases(this gets annoying later on since this makes them less unique and lead to some unfair fights in the DLC)and some of them are gimmick bosses that should not be in the game, others are too op(looking at you pontiff)a boss that has an almost infinite stamina and uses it to attack you non stop easily One of the most stupid difficulty Spikes of this game.
Overall dark souls is a game that does some things right and many wrong(ruins certain playstyles, brings back areas from the first game and is more of the same) fortunately from software noticed that the franchise hit a dead end and moved to make new IPS(like the amazing sekiro)that is much better imo.
The DLC is short too so if you think that it's gonna add many more hours it won't.
Hope that whoever reads this likes it and understands that i am not a hater or fanboy of from.

This game... Is a true marvel, and honestly it deserves the greatest reverence and praise that a soulsborne game can get, of every soulsborne I've played (all beside ER) I can say it is my favourite of them all. and here is why.

Gameplay - Challenging and rewarding, most of these games have gotten progressively easier as I played, the more I played but this maintained its challenge, through its invigorating and creative boss design with incredible flowing combos and delays that I haven't seen in a soulsborne game, closest to accomplish was Sekiro, which to me is at its core is what makes these games. However, this game had the helping of 2 prior souls games to improve upon and it did, flowing combos as players, smooth animations, QoL changes (Like moving when using estus) and generally more creativity into how you want to play. This game is a major step up by learning and adapting. All in an absolutely crisp 60fps

World - While being vastly more linear than any souls game prior and without the awesome shortcuts that made DS1's level design so impeccable, this stands out as being something separate to that design. It's use of beautiful scenic vistas and incredible guidance to help avoid being lost was pivotal to this design. The game flowed in this way unlike any other souls game did it. It was a stunning game with marvellous graphics that feel incredible even now 8 years later. Boss Arenas felt perfect and I feel as though I never saw a singular bad arena and the memorable ones absolutely stick out in a way no others have done. the enemy placement was perfect, not many replaced bosses in the regular gameplay and generally feels again like it refined all it learnt. However, the use of poison swamps in this game and the short length of the first DLC weigh slightly against it in this regard, I don't know why Miyazaki enjoys poison swamps they are annoying as all hell. Further, irithryll dungeon may be one of the worst areas I've seen in a souls game and deserves heavy criticism thanks t its awful enemies and feel like a boring roadblock on the way to Yhorm which could genuinely be missing from the game and would make it eb much better

Story - this is a game that weighs heavily in its narrative laurels to its 2 prior games stories, which makes sense as it is the final game of the trilogy, if it didn't tie in the way it does to these stories, seeing what we see from the older games, it may as well just be another story in another game. I believe this story was much more coherent and deep in its lore compared to the priors, and builds strongly thanks to this. it takes a lot more from the first rather than the second which, is a shame, I would have loved to see more of that despite not liking the seconds story. The main games story in its "Darkness" ending is a perfect way to cap off the main story, and lead into the overall best narrative told through its story of Gael in its next 2 DLC's with them being the most perfect post story additions. The story of Gael and the Paintings, the Dark Soul creates a truly brilliant and beautiful cap to the trilogy and the story and I hope they never release a fourth.

Bosses - Impeccable generally. A wide step up from DS2 and 1 and slightly better than Bloodborne bosses and on par with Sekiro. A few generally meh bosses sprinkled but when you have bosses like The Nameless King, The Final Boss, Pontiff, Abyss watchers, Friede, Midir and the Final DLC boss and MORE of just impeccable quality the game is just wiping the loor, they are all a challenge through every level no matter what, no matter how levelled you are. You NEED to learn these bosses through trial and effort, and thanks to this they are marvellous.

All in all however, I must give my final thoughts on this true masterpiece, and If it wasn't clear enough, my thoughts are that it is just a few missteps away from being perfect but is the best Soulsborne game I've played to this point and deserves a HUGE 9.75!!! incredible and slides comfortably into my favourites ever.

A definite must play

Dark Souls 3 easily has the best bosses of the 3 games but feels like you're on the dark souls equivalent of a theme park studio tour (which was probably intentional) as you'll either be visiting places from the previous games now twisted and decrepit forced to go on in the age of fire or you'll be meeting characters and fighting bosses usually referencing past From Software encounters. Overall a fantastic game and a bittersweet ending to the series that every mildly difficult game is compared to.

I decided to replay the game so that I can finally finish the DLC. What do I think?
Uh.... I thought I would find it better in this replay, but no I found it worse.
Areas are much more linear than I remembered, bosses and even basic enemies all do the annoying thing of having combos with like 10 hits ending in a delayed hit to fuck with your rhythm, difficulty is all over the place despite the aforementioned linearity, DLC was just alright, etc.
It's still better than most games, but I'd rather just play Elden Ring or really anything else from FromSoft.
Also I decided to go for magic this run as I've never tried that in a Souls game. I soon found out magic kind of sucks on this one. Oh well.

Pas aussi peak que le 1 mais extrêmement bien

I don't care what people say, this is the best dark souls game

The hit. Fast paced, The best boss fights the franchise has to offer, fluid gameplay, ambiance, graphics, everything is great here. well, if you ignore some areas here and there, you can't get ALL good stuff. miyazaki and his poison swamps i swear to god.

a fantastic ending to one of the best fantasy trilogies of all time

Replaced this masterpiece for the third or fourth time. It's an incredible experience everyone should experience at least once. Gonna replay it just after finishing it to get the darkest ending

From did it again boys, this game fuckin’ slaps.

Not going to drag on and on about what I liked about this, but rather I am going to highlight what I think is a negative nitpick that I have; this game really wants to be Dark Souls 1, for some reason. There are so many instances throughout DS3 where the devs basically soyjak point at something and say “Whoa! Look! It’s like Dark Souls 1” and I really feel like the reliance on iconography from that game slightly cheapens the experience for this one. I understand WHY they did it (negative feedback from the weird changes made in DS2) but when DS3 attempts to have its own identity outside of being a DS sequel, it’s really great! Also, the use of areas from previous games does somewhat cheapen it when previous areas are used much more subtly in the Ringed City DLC. I feel like having a room from Anor Londo or the Izalith Ruins in the DLC would’ve been appropriate than throwing it in the base game, but whatever.

That’s just a really minor nitpicky thing though, because I thought this game was really fuckin sick overall!

playing this one after bloodborne was when i truly got good (which means not being completely shit)
also, beat everything but midir because hell no

Some years ago, I rented Dark Souls III and I played it for few hours but I wasn't good at it and I never got into the series.
After playing Bloodborne, I decided to play Dark Souls III again... but I played it properly this time.
As a Souls game, Dark Souls III tells its interesting story and lore via environmental storytelling, which is an interesting way to tell a story.
The gameplay is slower than in a game like Bloodborne and it feels a bit stiff but it's very varied and enjoyable nonetheless.
The bosses in the first half of the game are lacking unfortunately, they're easy and disappointing for the most part, but the bosses in the second half of the game really make up for it; they're fantastic, some of the best in the series in fact.
Also, the music is absolutely incredible and the graphics are still nice.
As for the DLCs, Ashes of Ariandel is extremely short but the mandatory boss is amazing.
The Ringed City lasts much longer, it has more bosses and an epic conclusion to the entire series.
Overall, the DLCs are actually very good! Ashes of Ariandel is not as good as it could've been but The Ringed City is great.
Unfortunately, just like in Bloodborne, the camera is awkward at times.
However, unlike in Bloodborne, the level design is very linear in Dark Souls III and there is a surprising amount of areas I didn't enjoy, to be honest.

Pros:
+ Rich lore
+ Fun & diverse gameplay
+ Challenging & epic bosses
+ Incredible music
+ Great DLCs

Cons:
- Awkward camera in some instances
- Linear level design and many annoying areas

Gameplay: 7/10
Content: 9/10
Music: 10/10
Graphics/Audio: 8/10

Final Rating: 9/10
- Amazing -
Dark Souls III is a very exciting, challenging and rewarding experience, and a fitting conclusion to the Age of Fire, even if it's not as compelling as some of the other "Souls" games from FromSoftware.

Do I recommend it?:
I'd highly recommend it to the fans of the series/genre and even to newcomers, despite the high difficulty.

Very good, unsure where it ranks compared to the others, but still fantastic. Faster gameplay and probably the easiest of the series, but a helluva adventure.

my favorite of the trilogy, sorry class. definitely lacks the interconnected worlds that fromsoft has created in the past, but the boss fights are still the best that they've done. ludwig is my all time favorite, but this game has the best catalogue of fromsoft bosses and it's not even close. sister friede AND gael in the same game, not to mention all the great bosses in the base game. hydrogen bomb vs coughing babies.

Si me pudiera tatuar un juego sería perfectamente este

Prince Lothric is the best fight in the entire series

Good fundamentals are a little let down by an addiction to self-reference and an unwillingness to explore new design space

Oh my god I get it. I finally understand the love for this game and this series. The design at play with Dark Souls 3 is masterful. I won’t lie and say the game is flawless and every area is perfect- I have the standard gripes with areas such as the poison swamp- but DS3 more than makes up for those complaints with the bosses. For awhile I thought the difficulty of this game was a little overrated, but Pontiff, the Twins, and Soul of Cinder are a real challenge, and I adore all of those fights and the adrenaline that comes with them. Miyazaki’s storytelling is a prime example of the kind of storyteller I want to be, taking a show-not-tell approach. I really think this type of narrative shines in the gaming medium, and especially with the souls games. I can’t wait to play the others.

not as peak as ds2 but still pretty damn good
