Devil May Cry 3 is the Arch of the Covenant for mid-2000's cool, but rather than melting peoples faces off when opened, it blasts Linkin Park's "Meteora" as loud as it can while shooting out Blockbuster membership cards like its life depends on it.

Perfeito.

Come on puppy, let's go!

Aradan lamera açısını çıkarınca güzel oyun

I heard the way Vergil says SCUM in my head at random for like 2 weeks after finishing this game.

Um dos melhores jogos já feitos, ação fenomenal, momentos engraçados e personagens inesqueciveis.
It's showtime

So much better than DMC 1&2 , huge step up.
Mid Game didn‘t keep me that interested so I dropped it for a while , the end game made up for it tho. Like how did they manage to make the end credits more epic than any new action game now??
10/10 for me.

Es súper divertido. Es como el 1 pero cambiando la estética creepy a un gameplay mejorado.

SIMPLESMENTE DO CARALHO! PQP!!!

What a treat this game is to play! The combos are fast and fluid, there's an insane level of depth than can be used to take on higher difficulties, and there's an engaging and fun story to boot. It's crazy that despite the fact that the first two games were rough, they pulled through and made a game that was this fun. This is a must play for anyone who likes this style of combat. My only complaint is that this game drags a little bit toward the end, but that's hardly a problem.

Largest scale emocore title I've ever consumed

Devil May Cry 3 remains to this day one of the best action games not just because of it's gameplay (which revolutionized the genre with it's fighting game inspired combo system and sheer breadth of tools), not just because of it's memorable bosses (Vergil's echo , despite not being the first Rival in a video game, can be felt in almost every action game since), not just because of it's writing (which marries themes of identity and familial relations with a plot that is truly Epic, in the very literal and literary sense of the word), but because it so effortlessly nails all three.

A game that starts with a shirtless man eating pizza ends with a climatic duel between near-demigods that brings to mind Cú Chulainn's duels in Táin Bó Cúailnge (not the least because of it's setting, a fjord that serves as a literal threshold between this world and the next), and Devil May Cry 3 earns every moment along the way.

What can I say. Simply the best Devil May Cry game.
Story is perfect, gameplay is perfect, characters are perfect.

man this was annoying. best game so far though

Holy crap this was by far a massive improvement over the previous installments and easily one of the best action games I've ever played. The sheer amount of options the game lets you utilize in terms of guns and melee weapons is crazy. The style system was also a really cool way to get a lot of variety in moveset dynamics, I enabled a style switching mod which opened up so many fun possibilities to really get the most out of this combat.

Story wise they really found their mark here, this younger Dante is a lot more interesting and his carefree spirit is a joy to watch. Some of the cutscenes are here are easily some of the most entertaining I've ever seen in a video game.

Sadly there are a few things that hold this game back from being a masterpiece like some of the non-linear levels being an absolute chore to play and the inconsistent camera can really lead to some unfair hits especially when the targeting system really struggles around walls and obscures your view.

holy shit, this blows DMC 1 and 2 out of the water! the music is amazing and every single cutscene had me smiling in disbelief at how awesome this game is. the combat was amazing and building up high combo was super fun
!!!

Something is wrong with cameras

If you haven’t played this game, you are missing out.

Now THIS is the Devil May Cry I’ve heard so much about. Fast paced and full of style, energy and character. The combat sandbox is fluid, satisfying and allows for a fair bit of improvisation. I do think the style system is a bit rigid, I would’ve loved to combo the Trickster’s aerial warp with the Swordmaster’s aerial combos, but even as is the system has a lot of depth, and each style offers something for every playstyle. Against that is a diverse assortment of creative enemies that get more and more challenging as you progress, and not through just reskins with health and damage turned up, they’ll actually behave in more challenging ways, they’ll flank you, they’ll rebound and counter attack, etc. Dante himself is such a goofy, shit-talking, pizza loving frat boy, someone who loves to show off, perfect for a game about kicking everything’s ass in the most stylish way possible. Vergil as well is a great contrast, cold, self serious, he and Dante play off each other well. The story itself isn’t some masterpiece, but it is well structured and implemented in the context of the game, with Vergil, getting strong enough to beat him, hanging there as your ultimate goal through everything.

As great as this game is, I did still have a couple flaws with it. A couple of missions I found really obtuse, #15 in particular I had to look up a guide for after running around like a headless chicken for a half hour. The camera, while a vast improvement on 1 and especially 2 solely for the fact that you can actually adjust it this time, did still sometimes dick me over, sometimes it was in too tight and I couldn’t see all the enemies around me, sometimes it would drift into an awkward spot in the middle of the action, when I couldn’t focus on adjusting it back. I also thought some of the bosses were a touch weaker than others, Arkham was an especially underwhelming runner up to the true final boss.

As a whole, this game was great. I can easily see how it set the standard for this type of game and in many ways still does. I’m looking forward to playing DMC4 and 5 somewhere down the line.
