Never got to play as Vergil in DMC5 back when he came out, so it was great to revisit the game with him. Honestly I don't even like him as much as Nero or Dante (not as much attack variety, not huge on the Doppelganger, not patient enough for the Concentration Gauge) but it's a testament to how insanely good this game is that he still manages to be loads of fun. Zooming across the arena with Trick to wipe rooms at lightning speed never gets old, and Summoned Swords might be my favorite "gun" in the series. Bury The Light is the greatest battle theme ever made.
Devil May Cry 5 fans when they see their dad and Uncle fighting again over a conflict they had for 20 years.

Lives up to the hype of being an awesome playable character. Only reason this is getting 4 starts however is that its JUST a playable character dlc. Its a real shame how dirty vergil has been done by capcom. The only game in the entire franchise where vergil has a unique campaign to the story and isnt just padded replay value is the fucking reboot. Although I would have this than that shitty dlc that actually made the character more shallow than the already boring ass story.
Worth getting for the sheer replay value added by having a fourth playable character.
While I kinda wish we got a couple more exclusive missions, Vergil is so incredibly fun to play as and his theme is such a banger that it's still 5/5. The unique boss fight was an absolute blast too.
Essential add-on imo.
