Doesn't really differ much from the first game which is a shame since the whole progressive Breakout level concept is cool, but they didn't improve upon it enough.

Man, this was such a huge disappointment.
I dig the style; the music is absolutely fantastic, probably in the Top 10 in the Genesis catalog, but the game just refuses to cooperate.

The physics don't work; the framerate goes from 5 to 30 in the blink of an eye, and the ball just does whatever it wants. Your board does not affect it the way it's supposed to, even if you mash the B button, which's supposed to give it an extra push.

The result is a complete mess.
Also, no continues.

My disappointment is unmeasurable, and my day is ruined

Recurringly uncooperative and janky despite its interesting ideas and new spins on the Breakout concept. Mercifully short, but left me feeling a little sour despite this.

This is a great game held back by the fact that there is little rhyme or reason to where the ball bounces in relation to your board and the walls. Sometimes the ball continues to bounce in one direction despite hitting different sides of your board. Sometimes the ball will just shoot down on a curved wall with little time to react to it. God forbid the ball gets stuck between two blocks or a boss considering that this game is also working on a time limit and it could be solid 20 seconds that you have to sit and wait for the ball to come back to you.

Really cool but harrowing breakout clone. The goal is to reach the end of a stage rather than break all the blocks, and you have two paddles that you can move and turn. I was pushed off from it at first because the controls and physics are really awkward, but with practice it became generally fun. The main thing that kept me from really gravitating towards it is the timer; the later levels give you a really small amount of time to reach the finish, and if your ball gets arbitrarily stuck on something, you're pretty much screwed.

Great Soundtrack!

Oh, it also comes with a free game, but the game is nothing amazing, oh well!

hard as hell, but if you a fan of Arkanoid or Breakout, this is the beefed up Sega Genesis version with monsters and demons.

opens up the genre in a way that makes you excited for its future potential. too bad the vaunted block kuzushi never truly broke out.......
