It's honestly really hard to describe what's good/addicting about this rhythm game, but I really really enjoy it honestly. I'm thinking of maybe getting 100% Achievements despite the ridiculous cost of all the DLC's and the skill/grind required to do so.

im really bad at this game but it is so addicting

One of my favorite rhythm games but Neowiz is insane if they think I'm spending all that money for some mid ass songs.

A very solid core. Pricey. All of the best stuff, musically and chart-wise, comes from crossover packs- the actual MUSIC in the base game is mediocre modern rhythm game naptime. I miss when the default genre for rhythm games was eurobeat...

The ability to play every song in 4, 5, 6 or 8 button is neat in theory, I think, but I've never really understood the appeal of 5-button and 8-button has always felt really awkward to me. 4-button is a bit too simple and easy once you're experienced but it's a great on-ramp to learn. The issue is, in practice, I enjoy 6-button way more than anything else, but not all songs are playable on all difficulties on all button modes, making the song list sometimes feel artificially smaller. Your mileage may vary on that, if you like the variety of trying different control schemes it means you're getting a lot of bang for your buck with a ton of different charts available for each song.

The game is fun but just like Groove Coaster, the game has a ton of content locked behind DLCs

Genuinely the best rhythm game (VSRG) experience on the market as of this moment

It's a rhythm game of all time, I guess. The gameplay itself is nice, and the charting is smooth, but the microtransactions are absolutely wild. The song packs do not deserve to be this high of a price, especially for a 50-dollar base game. The 60GB+ storage space isn't worth how simple the game is, either. It'll be hard to pick this game back up, especially with how long it'll take to download.

Impressions (Can play upto 3 star songs; 4 keys)
- Very high production values
Every time you open Freeplay, the menu hypes you up like a beat drop. Navigating menus to playing, feels premium.
- Song selection
Not familiar with Korean music scene, but so far I really liked the songs.
- Battle Pass
Dunno why there is (adds cool cosmetics but that's it), even when there's DLC song packs.

Great rythm game!...Would be better if the song packs weren't all horribly expensive

4k boring; play 5k or higher to achieve maximum fun

I bought a whole ass arcade stick setup just to play 4 row mode. I absolutely love this game in arcades, and it works just as well on PC. Great soundtrack, but kinda sucks to have such expensive DLC

Pretty stellar track list and really cool collaborations on a pretty good rhythm game. I enjoy spending time on this game but something about it doesn't make me want to get good at it, yknow?

Djmax respect V vicia demais e tem ótimas músicas, porém as dlcs são extremamente caras, além do próprio jogo ser caro:/
E também é o único jogo de ritmo que tem no xbox

BACKDATED LOG
Addictive rhythm game I used to play a lot. Awful predatory DLC practices from Neowiz.

Ganhei de surpresa e foi surpresa em dobro, eu nem esperava que fosse ser viciante assim.

pretty fun rhythm game with a lot of songs. most of the music has great mapping and fun to play but the only problem with it is that there is a lot of microtransactions and dlc for a game that costs 50$

So, I like this game. A lot. It's one of three rhythm games I hold in high regard (other two being Rhythm Heaven Fever and Gitaroo Man), but for me to be even comfortable talking about it in the same space as the other two requires me to make a very hefty disclaimer about the absolute mountain of DLC content this game has. It also has seasonal battle-passes! It has the worst monetization I've ever seen in a rhythm game, to be blunt, which makes it hard for me to recommend to anyone despite how much fun I find it.

It's really a personal call if you're comfortable spending that much money on a game when it's already very similar to free alternatives like osu!mania (although I despise the feel of playing that game), so I'm trying not to tank my rating for this game due to how uncomfortable the monetization makes me. Although, it is bad enough for it to have impacted my enjoyment of the game, so I can't completely divorce the two.

Ok I’ve definitely played enough of this game to say how I feel about, which isn’t a lot. This is just a fun rhythm game with lots of song variety, game modes, and tracks in general even without the insane amount of DLC’s. It’s just a pretty fun game.

I had the chance of collecting most of the expansions for cheap and. Holy shit this game just has so much.
Also, getting to use all my 10 fingers in a rhythm game is (for me) a completely new experience. I was very much of a 4K purist before.
I got utterly blasted at this (8B) but recently I can get through some of the hard charts. Not maximum nor SC yet but hopefully someday.

I barely noticed whatever anti-cheat system the game has. Though it has to be noted that I have a beefy laptop right now so.

Pretty fun rhythm game, though the track choices didn't really impress me too much. Felt a bit too scattered. In one sense, having a wide variety of music is great, but it also meant that there wasn't as much that suited my tastes. But what was there was good. Just really a personal taste thing. Maybe look up a track list before buying.

i am so tired of microtransactions

those aside... the game in of itself is largely really solid. the music rules, the controls feel great ! i have tested both keyboard and dualshock controls, ultimately sticking with keyboard at the present moment. even on my cranky ancient laptop it runs pretty decently, which is always a pleasant surprise for me.

The actual mechanics of the game feels great, but the INCREDIBLY plentiful micro-transactions really drags this game down.

There isn't much I can say about this game other than it's decent. The song selection is decent, The ability to play with 4-8 notes is nice and background videos are cool but damn there are way too many DLCs and they ain't cheap.

in terms of straight up falling notes, this is one of your best options! many lane options, customization, a lot of unique songs on the track list. it's not special, and i don't enjoy playing it, but i recommend it for those who are into this style!

I love rhythm games and this is the first dj max game i’ve ever played. Awesome song selection and to top it off there is a Cytus and Demo collab dlc. Mwah chefs kiss. My second favourite rhythm game besides Cytus
