Now this is some dark mario lore

Mario Jumpman must pay for his crimes.

Just wish there were more levels.

The game and watch version of this was the first video game I ever owned. I loved the simple loop and that combined with the speed increase as you beat levels turns it into a hypnotic rhythm game. I completed the G&W version by getting the score to reset to 0 when I went over the max possible score.

Interesting concept and climbing on the vines is fun, like donkey kong, it can get a little repetitive though even by arcade standards.

Some of the mechanics are interesting (I like the way climbing works and feels) but the jump arcs feel really bad and the fact that falling too far kills you is a MAJOR design misstep

This game is truly fantastic

Short and nice donky gonky game.

Has more variety than the original but I never liked the way Jr. controlled. He just felt a bit stiffer than Mario did in the original Donkey Kong.

A decent game from the '80s, although it is pretty short compared to the likes of Mario 1 for instance

best pre-country donkey kong game, fight me

Tale of the cruelty of Man and the cage we all hope to be set free from by our own children

That was WAY easier than the original.

I hadn't played any Donkey Kong arcade titles besides the first one and just beat DK Jr. on my first try. Does the "Junior" imply that it's for little kids?

today has been shit my dog fucking died

Honestly pretty good and deserves more credit! The mechanic where you're faster climbing up when using a hand on two separate vines but faster climbing down with both hands on one vine is really neat. The four levels aren't all that interesting and it is shockingly easy for an old arcade game though.

¿Estoy loco si digo que me ha gustado más que el primero? He entrado mucho más rápido en la dinámica y mecánicamente me ha parecido mucho más interesante. Ojalá tuviera más pantallas.

much better than the original in my opinion
