The Ino arcade boss fight is stupid
At some point all these Guilty Gear games started to look and feel the same to me. I got this super cheap on steam, it's fun to jam for some hours and the online is alive and well. I think the franchise is lacking some of the depth other fighting games have, but them metal tunes and the characters always give it a lot of energy.
Venom is perhaps... the sickest fighting game character ever conceived.

This game fucks, the 3v3 mode is a fantastic way to try more characters faster and have more variety, all the characters are unique and do cool shit. Fantastic game if you are hardcore into fighting games or if you just wanna goof off with friends.

this game is pretty cool, I played the story mode for a few of my fav characters and that may be all I do, but I could see myself exploring some of the other modes later!

jokes aside, i love accent core for everything its worth. its fucked up name, its jank sprites, its tough as nails execution... am i good at this game? absolutely not, although that might have something to do with my two mains being bottom tier (robo-ky) and one of the more technical characters on the roster (ABA). that being said, accent core is a stylish as hell game and i love it for that. theres so much wacky shit you can pull off in this game that absolutely would not fly in a more modern GG game, and i think its a great time capsule of early GG. i also think this game has the most diverse and interesting cast of playable characters, with guys like zappa, order sol, and robo ky. the challenge mode is also pretty fun for singleplayer, which is something i dont think a lot of fighting games get right. overall, a great package for anyone wanting an over the top, insane anime fighting game that still retains some of the jank of older GG games

Mi primera experiencia en GG, y aunque es, ciertamente, un juego con muchisima bullshit... Es bastante divertido. Quiero dedicarle mas tiempo en un futuro, solo para ver que onda.
It is rough around the edges, and can be even rougher at times, but it is undeniably a good fighting game, considering the whole package.
Having been on dustloop for so long and with so many resources makes it a very good game to dive deep into, however, its overwhelming character strength creates a gameplay that will be defiant of common and basic fighting game knowledge. For example, you're not anti airing Sol's j.H. That is a thing, and many tools/normals of this game will be unsolvable problems or be so incredibly strong that there is absolutely no way to deal with unless avoiding the situation entirely. Mixing that up with the fact that you can be barred by tricky execution and the lack of buffers, you can feel pretty discouraged from continuing your journey.
But it's not all lost; You have unending ways to interact with the game, even in a single matchup. You can experiment and you may find many niche situations with even more niche answers, or you can bulldoze your way through to make them play your game. Neutral is a spectrum; There's decisions that you can make, and they may seem good in paper, but the match always plays differently from what you can think of. That freedom, the lack of constrictions can be a very experimental ground, and if you like not being held by anything whatsoever to freely express your own will, this might be one of the best fighting games to do so. However, that is my review and I don't like this shit. haha. Lack of boundaries means that you can hardly talk to an opponent if he wants to stay in his own world, and his character (any character can do this, this is not exclusive) is perfectly able to sustain his gameplan by being so hard to constrict in any way whatsoever that you can feel like you're playing against brick walls.
The roster is one of the best, all of them are unique and beautiful in their own way, supporting almost every playstyle even if their archetype is not supposed to do so. Good music and rollback netcode, to top with some of the best features in a fighting game: Replay takeover and the quick match lobby, makes the whole package of GGXXAC+R something worth trying out, at least once.

I know this one is peak GG but I didn't really do much beyond story mode. And the story mode has the exact same presentation as X Plus and X2 so it got pretty bland, pretty quickly. Especially because very little of note happens in anyone's story. I'd need to delve into online with the steam version to get more out of this one. Still, same look and sound as X2 but with more content so it's great.

Talvez eu mude de opinião caso re-jogue quando comprar um controle de xbox, mas NOSSA SENHORA, que jogabilidade ruim. Os controles não são nem um pouco intuitivos e respondem super mal, e olha que eu to razoavelmente acostumado a jogar jogo de luta no teclado (joguei os outros guilty gear assim).
