This was the only game my turkish family had on their computer and it was honestly fun as fuck.

Oh my God there's a character here who would never be designed today.

A stone-cold childhood classic. This, Earthworm Jim and the Wario Land series had a baby called Pizza Tower

tem uma proposta diferente do primeiro, mas achei bem melhor de jogar. e pô KKKKKKKKKKK que que custava a epic remasterizar numa coletânea essa porra desse coelho maconha rambo

"Sonic with Guns "
Not to take anything away from the game but That's the best way to put it in my opinion
The same fast paced action platforming with a nice variety of weapons . you always have more than one way to finish most levels
only aspect that takes away from the experience is the frustrating platforming Much like the first classic sonic game it can be frustrating and drags down the pacing a lot in some levels

Pretty cool game
The level editor for it was my first introduction to creating video games, and for that alone it deserves my gratitude

That one guy got me to play this game, and it was a legitimately horrifying experience. I didn't know this game existed and I want to return to a world in which I continue my ignorance. It controlled very sloppily, and it resembles Sonic games in the worst ways. Also, the character designs are pretty off-putting. Don't touch this.

infancia el juego, algun dia lo acabare

The BEST Jazz Jackrabbit game.

I never enjoy giving a well-regarded game a lukewarm review, and I promise I'm not doing it to be contrarian, but... have you ever experienced that "oh, crap" moment playing a strategy game like Civilization when you move your club-wielding cavemen to attack another player only to find yourself faced with tanks and fighter jets? That's kind of like how Jazz Jackrabbit 2 feels like.

It's a much more competently-made game than the original, free of its most egregious flaws (less slippery momentum, less screen crunch, enemy placement that is tricky but has less instances of "gotcha!"). It has plenty of the same virtues - nice visual design with a good variety of level aesthetics, nonlinear-ish level layouts with a good amount of secrets to discover, and a great soundtrack. The selection of guns are probably the gameplay's strongest suit - from the pitifully short-range flamethrower which is effective against erratically-flying enemies because the flames linger in the air slightly longer, to the motion-controlled bombs which are great against bosses because they allow you to damage a boss while you're safely on the other side of the screen, every weapon has at least a fringe use.

...it was also released in 1998. (for reference Klonoa came out in '97!)

I'm not saying that every game needs to break new ground, but if a game is treading familiar territory then I'd at least hope for it to be polished. Jazz Jackrabbit 2 has plenty of rough edges - its visual design is confusing, and it's hard to tell which platforms can be landed on and which are part of the background. The final level has the most egregious example of this - a floor that appears to be made of flowing lava but can be walked on like a normal floor! The controls are inconsistent, particularly in the execution of Jazz's ear propeller and Spaz's double jump. There's a pretty sizable catalogue of bugs - I softlocked myself multiple times, mostly by clipping into walls, but I also (twice) used the motion-sensor bomb and blew a boss clear out of the screen, with no choice but to reload an earlier save!

I do see that this game filled a very specific niche when it came out; in an era where developers were throwing out plenty of bathwater (and some babies) in their rush to cash in on the 3D craze, a functional old-school mascot platformer from a niche franchise scratches a very specific itch. But as someone without an emotional connection to this game, it comes across as an anachronism - archaic by 1998 standards, but not refined enough to count as homage.

When are they coming back epic? I want them back...

One of my first platforming games I've played, funky-ass soundtrack and jazzy characters, loved it! Definietly reccomend to check it out today, you won't regret it!!!! 😎🎶

An absolute classic platformer. You can choose to play as Jazz or Spaz
Jazz, the green one is the serious one, his ability is gliding using his ears as a helicopter
Spaz, the red and more silly looking rabbit has the ability to double jump.
Depending on which character you choose to play as, you will be able to reach or you'll be restricted to certain areas of the levels.
The game worlds are nice and varied and the soundtrack of the game is a classic.
There are 3 levels of difficulty and the multiplayer community still shows much love for the game.
A childhood gem!

An amazing, not very well known shooting platformer.

very simple and easy and charming and for kids but it's not made by nintendo therefore it's bad

What a great game with even better soundtrack.

i have a lot to say about dis game and it's weird agshjdbweufhrjeklf, i remember i played da demo of dis game and i confused where they were until i found out they were in da shareware levels section oop
ok so dis game is obviously inspired from sonic, from the gameplay to the music and it's kinda cool, but there are SO many downfalls to it agh like ok i love da creativity and i think they were going somewhere with dis but wow da controls feels so weird and some movement feels stiff and there isn't any momentum and eeeeuuughhhhh it doesn't feel good to control
also da level design.......... you have a run button in dis game but you're gonna be running headfirst into enemies if you use it, like i like how fast it is but da levels are not design with dat in mind i don't think, also wat is it with old pc platformers and having really BIG levels where everything is so spaced out, and why does da art feel inconsistent sometimes blargh idk, and da levels make no sense like in a level themed around going to da past why was there an alice in wonderland theme?????? idk like it was cool but da themes don't match i thought it was kinda funny tho agsdhjwebvfiu
also da story kinda is non-existent like ok i read da evil turtle stole jazz's wedding ring i think????? but you go through so many places and i'm wondering like wat's going on and next thing i know i'm in hell HUASGTFDKJWEHFBWJ
da music is bangin tho except for the part when an intro of a track had an Islamic athan for some reason???????
cg animations are cute but i wanna know did da animator(s) for these cutscenes also work on dust an elysian tail cause da art style looks REALLY similar
also epic games made dis but it's not there and instead on gog???????????? also i got dis free on gog and i was so excited agshdjmnwefijwe
also also spaz is so weird they are def a skrunkly <3

Just as much fun as the first game, or maybe even more with two players.

I think the original game is better, especially with music and level design, but there's still a lot of nostalgia for this game. It was installed on like three computers at my elementary school's computer lab, and we always competed to get one of those computers so we could play this instead of Mavis Beacon.
