What can I say but tongue in cheek fun. Star Wars Complete Saga stars you off in a hub world and you take on zone representing each movie in the Star Wars universe for when the game was released. Each zone is broken up with 6 levels with the levels being iconic areas in the movie.
You can select you character with the main difference in choosing a jedi or a shooter. The game never takes itself seriously and adds some parodies to the movies which gives it charm.
The theme music and all the characters are thereto choose from.
The games is heavily more made for kids but cannot deny some issues being that if you die there is no consequences other that losing some currency and the vehicles levels. Those vehicles move poorly and can frustrate you at times. I appreciate the gameplay variety but they needed to have far more polish in the design.
The game has an assumed knowledge on the movies. If you haven't watched the movies you may feel out of place with what the game is trying to convey as the in-game plot is weak and no dialogue to queue you in.
Once you finish the main campaign there is plenty to do in terms of mini games and collectables which can unlock some really cool characters.
Give this to you kids (under 12) and they will love it, for me personally the issues was more glaring.

another great game from my childhood (even though I owned both trilogie seperately at the time) and, like Lego Batman, I didn't finish my new playthrough, for a similar reason : a lot of content. and I think I just wanted to play something else at the time. doesn't stop this from being one of the best Lego games out there.

my friend max wouldnt open the doors

Lego games will never be this good ever again.

This game was one of my favorites as a kid. I love Star Wars and as a kid I really loved legos and even had a few lego star wars sets, so when i saw this game at Big Lots(Yes that store sells games, im not sure if they still do but i remember getting games from there whenever it wasn't pre owned gamestop games) I knew i wanted it. When i got it, I loved it so much. Playing throughout the prequel and original trilogy was so much fun and I loved freeplay and just playing as different characters throughout the movies was so cool. I loved playing as yoda because i just liked the way he would run around with his lightsaber and the noise he would make when he died, it was so FUNNY i loved it. I loved the cantina being the hub world and loved listening to the band. The comedy in this game is so funny i fucking love it. This game is just so fun, it reminds me so much of my childhood.

It's a very fun and nostalgic game.

If you grew up in the 2000's and your family owned a Wii, this game was an integral part of your childhood. I remember when I was about 5 years old and my Dad showed me the original Star Wars for the first time. Afterwards, he asked me if I wanted to play Super Mario Galaxy, but I wanted to play Lego Star Wars instead.

This game does a fantastic job adapting the first 6 Star Wars movies into video game form. Almost every major plot point is retold faithfully, albeit in a cartoonish, more accessible manner (I know Ruin of the Jedi was based on a deleted scene from ROTS, but 5-year-old me wasn't allowed to watch PG-13 movies so I didn't care). That, combined with the music and visuals, creates the perfect childhood experience of living through the events of Star Wars.

Anyway, the game holds up pretty well. Lego Star Wars 3 improves on just about everything here, but it's still a really solid template. The characters all feel pretty good to control and the partner AI is really good. There are also a lot of good levels here. Obviously, the platformer gauntlet/two-player versus combo in Darth Vader and the level-long fight against Palpatine are the standouts, but they generally do a really good job switching up the gameplay in a way that feels fun (Gunship Cavalry sucks but honestly that's on brand for Attack of the Clones). The vehicle levels don't control the best, but they're usually pretty easy so it's not that big a deal. Plus, once you get a decent ways in there's this really nice gameplay loop of going through levels, collecting studs, and buying stuff back at the Cantina.

Also, I love how Jar Jar has his own character class that's vital for getting a good chunk of the collectibles. He really is the key to all this.

UUUUUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

lego games are so mid but this one was alright

My brother and I played this so much that I kind of got sick of it after a while, but nostalgia prevents me from scoring it any lower than this.

Nostalgia aside, this game is better than head.

One of the best pieces of Star Wars media.

best lego game as far as I'm concerned. yeah I know it's a compilation of the first 2 lego star wars games which I played on ps2 (plus the really shitty but fun DS port) but this is more than just a compilation. they fixed all the vehicle levels from the first game, they made characters from all the games playable in each other's universe, bonus levels of cut content and extra worlds, and the game is funny, really funny. being a kid and going through my favorite movies as silly lego characters while still keeping the same amazing star wars atmosphere complete with John Williams music was honestly amazing for little me. Even if it is a little too easy and I can beat it with my eyes closed.

I don’t trust anyone who hasn’t played this game
