This game is not really in a great place right now. Events are mind-numbingly long and monotonous with almost identical structures. Milestones are set unreasonably high, and characters are practically paywalled on initial release. There's just too much to do that isn't actually playing the game from constant tedious upgrades of characters, collecting milestones, applying gear, collecting rewards. This game just increasingly feels more like a chore every time that I play it. What keeps me playing this is mainly that it fits into a short periods of time, like a bathroom break or a commute. Added on the visuals of this game are just beautiful. The work put into this game's animation gives it a flair that is rare in the genre. Even on it's worst days, there's just something intrinsically fun about watching The Hulk chokeslam Spider-Man face first into the ground, or watching America Chavez pummel Elektra into another dimension. This game has a solid foundation and the worst thing about it is that Scopely seems fully aware of the fact that foundation gives them leniency to capitalize on.
