Mortal Kombat: Armageddon on the Wii is a chaotic fighter bursting with ambition but often lacking in execution. It boasts a massive roster of Kombatants and a surprisingly enjoyable kart racing mode called "Motor Kombat." Unfortunately, the motion controls feel imprecise for the main fighting gameplay, and the new Konquest story mode is a shallow, often tedious experience. While diehard Mortal Kombat fans might find some fun, Armageddon ultimately feels like a missed opportunity to fully harness the Wii's unique capabilities.

When it comes to fighting games, I think you need to make sure to have a good amount of single player content to strive towards as you grind out match after match. Fun progression is an importation part of any fighting game and this game has it. It hasn’t aged well, but the custom character single player campaign was fun and the arcade endings for the main cast were also fun to unlock.

Just by having the Kart minigame and an ending with each character, in addition to being able to create a wonderful game

The best one. You can make your own fighter! Why did they abandon this? If you can do it in 2006, can do it in 2024. Like, come on guys.

Nota: 6,5 Ok.

Jogo duvidoso..mas o modo Motor Kombat é maneiro.

Mortal Kombat Trilogy PS2 version
The Fatalities are a disaster, the story mode was good
It is appreciated having played with all the existing characters so far

Of the ps2 MK set this one falls under deception for me, while the roster, kart, create a character features are welcome, i do have issues elsewhere.

The konquest mode at first glance is an improvement over Deception's, however i find it to lack the nonlinearity and replayability of deception. One straight playthrough of Armageddon's konquest mode netted me all but 4 of the extra costumes, several arenas, all 4 hidden characters, and a metric fuck ton of money.
This strips much of the rewards out of playing the other modes i would argue, and i just can't help feel Armageddon would have benefited from having like half of it's characters as unlockables, just so you're busy doing things.
Deception's konquest for all it's goofyness, would barely give you anything if you didn't comb through the environments thoroughly.

I still love this game really, it's nice having everyone here, but after playing these 3 back to back, the konquest mode's rewards stuck in my craw.

MK Armageddon was always a game with mixed reviews. Personally i really liked this game back in the day, and now when im looking at it again, i still like it :) (it might be nostalgia tho)
Sure, this game wasn't top tier and had some bad things in it like the stance or Kreate a Fatality feature.
On the other hand, it had another Konquest mode which was decent, Motor Kombat which i thought was really funny, Kreate-a-Fighter which was the only time this feature was present in any MK game and 64 Fighters! Everyone was present in this game.
That being said, MK Armageddon was a fun game where you wouldn't get bored easily.

Konquest and Kart saved this terrible game

Honestly probably my favorite in the series, yea there are no fatalities but goddamn my younger self's imagination went wild with this how its basically the closest thing to a mortal kombat sandbox

my brother let me play this when i was 3

This game definitely suffers from quantity over quality.

The fighting is good, the story mode is pretty decent, most of the stages with all the different gimmicks are pretty good and the intro cinematic is fucking amazing. Motor Kombat and the character selection tool, for as dumb as they are, they are welcome and very fun additions to the game.

I appreciate them bringing back every single character in the series up until that point, but because of that, the character roster in this game is way bigger than it needs to be, making most of these characters play almost the same, or just plain bad.

They also got rid of Fatalities and replaced them with a weird combo fatality system; it's not terrible and it can be kind of fun to try and get the longest combo...But idk, it gets boring and tedious after a while.

And I get it, it would've been impossible to come up with new fatalities for every single character in this game...But I kind of wish they had just tried to bring back every fatality from every previous game instead, but now in 3D. Who knows, maybe they did think of that, but maybe actually doing that wasn't as easy as I think.

Overall, it is a good Mortal Kombat game and I have a lot of nostalgia for it, but there are definitely better ones out there.

Amazing game!
Good story, good gameplay.
