This full decompilation is very impressive. I've noticed little details in this port that always passed me by in other versions. Agreed with the rest of the reviews here: this is the definitive way to play Jak 1.

(PC - Free)
one of the best fan ports i've tried, but its still incomplete
the project is (so far) in beta and by the time i've finished, there was input options, no mouse support, but it came loaded with the nice features to make this game not just playable but enchanced on newer hardware, despite still in beta, this IS the definitive way to play this game

The definitive way to play Jak and Daxter

Y'know, I am appallingly surprised that I slept on this one when I first played it in 2019. Jak 2 was the main event for a 17 year old Antihero, but he thought Jak 1 was pretty alright. Flash forward 4 years and uh... what was I smoking?

Jak 1's a great time. A very simple platformer, but it does simple effectively! Easy, yes, but it's an incredibly fun time. If you're looking for a simple game without any major difficulty spikes that's easy to get into and fun to 100%, the Precursor Legacy's up your alley.

If there's a critique or two to be had, sometimes you might miss a Precursor Orb or two and the hunt for it can be a little tedious, and the game itself is fairly short. But like I said, give this one a shot. It's an incredibly fun collectathon!

A collectathon of all time!
Pretty fun ngl, though I was induced to sleep at times.

It starts really strong, I wanted to 100% it. But as early as the Lost Precursor City, I got real tired of slipping off of platformers or just barely missing a jump resulting in immediate death. There's no lives and everything you do is saved, but you still have to replay a lot of level just to screw up again. Everything looks the same in these levels, so it's easy to get lost or not know where that one last thing is. I also hate the hoverbike sections, and I can't decide if the precursor basin is worse or if the linear tracks are worse. The music is fine but not a single track is worth listening to outside of gameplay. I got to 95% but I have no desire to go get the last things anymore.
