at least 15 of those 38 hours were only to reach 2B

This is definitely no first person Forager. Unlike that game the systems and upgrades you work towards here don't actually work together and some like the magic upgrades are just a waste of time. Limitations in automation is a huge disappointment, but the random spawning for basic resources like wood to fulfill very expensive recipes not even an hour in makes me not want to invest my time anymore. Couldn't get past 2 hours while I played Forager for 16 hours straight.

I played Forager previously and I heard this game described as the 3D Forager. While that is superficially true, I think the comparison does the game a disservice. The level of automation and progression in this game is both way more engaging, interactive, and enjoyable. Not that Forager is bad, it just got to grindy for me. Outpath made grinding enjoyable because the automation options are available early on and their upgrades just increase their range. Also, the way that you pace at which you unlock more land is excellent. Even when you get later on, if you have done your due diligence on the previous islands then the amount of time it takes to unlock more is appropriately long, where if you are working at it, you can keeping going at a good clip.

The building options in the game are interesting as well. While the resource gathering is excellent, the resource refinement buildings will glitch sometimes and you have to restart the game to get them to work. Nevertheless, the game offers a lot of freedom to build platforms. It does not have much in the way of cosmetic options, but I was never bothered by that.

Lastly, there are perks you can get that can revolutionize the gameplay. They can be upgraded, which made for an extra layer of progression that I enjoyed

Needing some tweaks in balancing of materials and items as well as adding some more guidance. Still enjoyable as it provides a nice and chill meditative experience.

minecraft 2: o inimigo é agora outro

Honestly a decent time sink! Has quick and satisfying gameplay, especially somewhere mid-game. At launch, it had a lot of bugs, but the developer (who is a very nice person) quickly worked on fixes so that the community could enjoy his indie title. Apart from some issues with expensive crafting recipies and limitations in automation, I think Outpath is definitely worth its money.

A first-person 'Forager' - with a much nicer lead developer who doesn't blame their team (just sayin'...).

Addictive crafting/automation gameplay with great progression milestones, fifty unique skills and a plethora of items to gather. You'll start off with just your bare hands, but give it ten hours and you'll be gliding around the skies firing projectiles from a magical wand. Decimating islands of their resources as you work on crafting the next powerful tool. Great base building too with a unique passive island system that disables/enables resources from generating.

Relaxing, simple and above all else...fun!
