i loved these games when i was a lot younger so of course im going to spend over 20 hours on this thing to get nothing but coins, mini games, new customers and other stuff.. worth nothing but fun. i might need to touch grass.

The greatest way to enjoy a classic

The Papa's game series was something very enjoyable back in the adobe flash player days and even nowadays is still remembered very fondly by pretty much everyone, including myself, and after hearing they put a remake of Freezeria on Steam out of nowhere, I just couldn't resist.

This game does quite the justice to the original, since not only they essentially ported it 1:1 to a new engine like they did with To Go!, but also polished the heck out of it with new interfaces, remastered audio, collectibles and decent variety of minigames. They also put a freeplay mode where you can practice and make anything you want to serve. All of this shows how much dedication and effort the devs put in their legendary creation once again.

Then again it has its flaws, especially on the gameplay loop which becomes quite repetitive on the long run. Every day you serve 7 clients appearing at the same rate, which means the difficulty doesn't quite change much, it's just doing the same thing over and over again just with another coat of paint, and since this game has a story mode it gets quite tiring to beat. I can see a lot of wasted opportunities for some events like the typhoon or the island volcano exploding on certain weeks, I don't know man just make it more interesting!

With all this in mind, I have very high hopes they'll gradually do more remakes for the rest of the games, just PLEASE play a little more around with the gameplay loop.

A throwback to a childhood classic that still holds up.

and I work like a DOG, day and night, living on coffee from a pot none of you want to TOUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reminds me of my time in the computer room after finishing all my work for the day! Please release the entire series!!! :(

Very chill game where you make ice cream for people. Satisfying and full of content.

Ended up grinding the game until I saw all the customers and ended my run with most of the achievements. This game on its own is a great time waster, but probably should not be binged as it slowly became tedious for me. Definitely wanted to go out of my way to support the devs that got me through middle and high school.

Finally, a good remake.

This game goes nasty for a good 10 hours, but after that the swirling of the yogurt starts to make you question why you're even alive on this planet.

After about my 406th customer, I turned it off and got a job.

im nosferatu and i approve of these messages

Great game to zone out to and enjoy yourself.

It’s Ice-tastic!

I did not PLAY TF AROUND with this damn game bro LMFAOOOO???????????? starbucks sim ass fucking game #peak

super nostalgic and a really fun game to just sit and pass the time. completely worth the 5,89€ it's priced at on steam; i hope the other papa's games get remakes too!

Papa's was one of the goats of my childhood as far as flash games go, and Papa's Freezeria Deluxe is a great refresh of those originals. This remaster is in the style of how you remember it, to the point where I didn't realize how bad the original Freezeria looked until I put the two side by side. That isn't incredible for some games, but it works great here.

Admittedly, it isn't perfect thanks to some things from the original game not being fixed. Namely how the game starts to drag on once you get to the end, since it's a lot of the same with a new coat of paint. Gunning for as many Steam achievements as possible did alleviate the monotony a bit, but it still dragged on regardless.

If you want a chill experience to play in a Discord call, or have a fondness for the Papa's series, it's worth the couple bucks. Even if you don't finish it, it's well put together with a lot of care.

Good practice for my degree in graphic design.

it's really fun!!!!! i reached day twenty but i feel like it's gotten a bit stale cuz it just feels like i'm goin through da same routine over and over

Really addictive and fun time management "cooking" game! I hadn't heard of this series before Steam, so no nostalgia influencing my opinion. The difficulty feels fair, though the minigames between days can get hard! I do wish regulars wouldn't change their order so often, so I could start to memorize orders. Love the addition of specials and holidays, especially Halloween when all the regulars come in costume! The different holiday sprinkles are so creative! Great price!

unironically fucks, top notch restaurant sim. really hope they deluxe-ify more in the series.

Please remake more of these, This scratches an Itch I didn't even know I had and the memories of playing these games growing up make this a real treat to play.

This game kinda serves the same purpose it did back on my middle school library computers on CoolMath.com. A great time sync that's both engaging and fun. The gameplay loop is all about time management and detail orientation. And this deluxe version is by far the definitive version of the game with more customization, steam achievements, the food truck mode that's essentially a free play mode that you get extra money for, and the between-shift minigames have great variety and are great fun.

There isn't much to this game, but if you played these games on flash back in the day, I can definitely recommend it, especially since it's already at a cheap price for how replayable it is. I really hope the keep remastering the old papa's games because they did a great job with this one. Who know's, maybe a CoolMath collection may come in the future

Papa's Freezeria Deluxe, an otherwise charming game about managing a frozen treat shop, descended into sheer madness during my playthrough. While the core gameplay is centered around crafting delightful ice cream sundaes for customers, my experience took an unexpected turn.

Firstly, an enraged customer, apparently unsatisfied with her order, issued a rather extreme threat. She pledged to hunt down an unfortunate employee who had the audacity to serve her an "Insta Purple Death Goo Supreme Surprise Sundae" without receiving an adequate tip. It's safe to say this customer's anger management issues are far from resolved, and her melodramatic outburst cast a dark shadow over my time in the ice cream parlor.

As if that weren't enough, things spiraled out of control when another employee, going by the name of "Rivers Cuomo," went on a bizarre rampage. Within a mere seven minutes of the shop's grand opening, this deranged worker decided to combine every ingredient in the shop into a single milkshake intended for an innocent skater woman. This act of culinary terrorism resulted in the immediate shutdown of Weezer's Freezeria, and Rivers Cuomo is now facing a potential prison sentence that rivals the lifespan of a bristlecone pine tree.

Lastly, among the chaos and confusion, a "Venom poster" made an appearance. While I can only assume this was an attempt to add some semblance of normalcy to the situation, it felt entirely out of place and did little to mitigate the mayhem unfolding in the shop.

In the end, Papa's Freezeria Deluxe left me with more questions than answers. The gameplay itself, when not overshadowed by threats and criminal antics, is quite enjoyable, but the absurdity of my experience cannot be ignored. For those seeking a peaceful ice cream parlor management simulation, I would suggest looking elsewhere. This game is a prime example of how things can quickly go awry when customers and employees alike lose their grip on reality.

Score: 3/10
